Were Dusters made in 77? Thought the f bodies replaced them in 77, Aspen and Volare.

Where is the proportioning valve located, if I put a brake booster and new master cylinder in that’s all I need to do to make it work

it work

On my 74 Duster it's on the drivers side on the frame rail about a foot below Master cylinder. It has the brake lines attached to it. Follow them down from M/C and you should see the block aka proportional valve.

You can get the master cylinder and booster from a parts store- they still have them, or a least they did a couple years ago.

A '74 proportioning valve is included in the '70 and up distribution block with switch and proportioning valve.
I beleive the combo valve is the same as used in the earlier years as the pressures it proportiona re about the same.
Visualy it looks like the one in the upper left corner.

Master Cylinders will look similar to this:

'73 used a different master cylinder for power and manual disk setups.
FWIW here's my work in progress crib sheet for Original A-body Master Cylinders & Bore. Feel free to add, question or correct (especially if you have a documented source).

You need more that a booster and MC. You need the brackets which stand-off from the firewall and have a lever. You won't find those at an auto parts. I have seen a complete new setup (brackets, booster, MC) on ebay for ~$170 (a great deal). The booster appears based on a GM one (threaded rod), but they give you all the parts to connect to your Mopar pedal.
