Stop in for a cup of coffee

My daughter scares the hell outta me.
She now hangs out with musicians/bands. Photographing them and taking videos.started out doing production in university.
Puts way too much faith in her 400,000 plus km’s car and wants to drive it 1/2 way across the country and across the border.

Another just because...

Shes always wanted to be a Vet, but sadly her grades are not up to that level to be accepted into any Vet school. Since I work at a college, she basically gets free college credits (so many per semester). So I told her to go there and get her generals out of the way, until she decides what she wants to do. Im not pushing her into going to college other than her generals. If she chooses not to so be it.
she could always transfer into it. That's what my brother's fiance did, knocked out all the generals while boosting her GPA and managed to get in that way.

Pretty country up there. I have a friend from high school that moved up there after he did a stint with the USCG on Kodiak Island. He loves it there.

Sure is . I really feel like crap though. . Trying to hang in..
Looking at a few houses tomorrow. She has been trying to get me up here for the last few years. Granddaughter took 3 more medals yesterday in regional finals. Now going to compete next week at state events.

Good luck to her and I hope you start to feel better.

Not to fire you up, but how goes the job situation.
More of the same. Senior staff is getting cut to two days a week and the rest of us are just on standby while they let natural attrition take down the numbers as folks find jobs. Looks like end of June is the next turning point. At least we are still getting paid.

I have decided to hang in and make them lay me off and pay me the severance package. 5 months income and healthcare.

Then I will decide what to do next.

One of my mixer driver's son joined the Coast Guard. First station after basic was AK. He wasn't real happy about it at first. 3 weeks after he was there, called his Dad "Dad! Send my surfboard! The waves are bitchin!"

Nice rowdy cam! Man that speedbump right in front of your house... that would piss me off.
Actually, we're quite happy about it. There is an incline to the right and people tend to think they need to race up it to overcome the increase in potential energy. And when they come down their brakes don't seem to work. Since we've got three kids, we were quite happy when they put it up so we could get rid of the slalom course we'd made from large flower pots. It's a 20 zone but with a lot of traffic to houses higher up.

Go over it first. Make sure the drums are adjusted, no contamination, etc.
Then if not satisfied, try a different lining material. Can make a big difference. Some are more grabby than others, and that can change with temperture. The brakes on these cars don't get that hot - exception being situations like 9" drums on 500' drop in elevation....
I suspect the whole setup needs to be heated up properly to burn grease off and seat the pads but I'm not going out on the freeway like this. :D

not enough for a booster.
How radical is the cam? a little more initial timing might bring the vac up.
It's a Purple Shaft P4452992, 238/238@50, 110 LSA. Mopar Perf. ''Purple Shaft'' Hydraulic Camshaft Kit I haven't really got enough knowledge to set timing, all i know is from Roadkill. And here, obviously. :)

Blleed em well?
If the front disks are super smooth, they sometimes need a little texture (surface finish)
What are you using for front pads? I didn't like the NOS Cyclepro - Mopar pads as they didn't have much bite on the well worn disks (snooth). There's a reasonably good amount of choices for D11 pads - they were also used on early Mustangs and some Corvettes.
They are nice and firm so I think they are bled enough. Not sure about the rear but I guess that won't make a huge difference. The pads are what the PO bought, I guess. No idea what they are and they'd been in a box full of car parts for seven years when I got the car. Plus the rotors were probably greasy when I went out. That's how I roll. :D
