Got the gas pedal mounted today

Fed the wires through the firewall and made a mount for the ECU that tucks it away under the dash so you cant see it.

Have it spinning over with the key now, and spun it over a few times today to get the rest of the motor oiled up. Have to hook up a few more 12v key hot wires then we should be good to go.

I bet you are getting pumped lol
That i am. Just a few small things now and it ought to be fired up and alive.

In the world of pics/vid or it didnt happen. Here is the first one where I just jumped the starter relay. I eventually jumpered the neutral safety switch and that allowed me to turn it over with the key. Excuse the wire mess. Trying to get every connected and finalized before i finish cover up.

Did some trouble shooting as to why it wouldnt fire up. Turns out the relays were bad for the ECU and fuel pump. 12v input good, 12v output bad. So i jumpered 12v to the pump side of the relay and it came on wide open. Also discovered I have a leak at the tank somewhere so I have to Investigate that too.

Oh man that must be killing you lol. Hope you can get it sorted out and running.

I've got a couple spares on order, plus I'm gonna take the two I have today over to the local parts store and try and find some.

I should have some time to try and find the leak today. So fingers crossed.

While I'm finishing up the wiring for the obd2 port, I ordered a bluetooth scanner that allows for fault code review, deletion and alot more. Should also come in handy since i havent ordered my.gauge set yet, and this allows me to display all the important info on my engine as well as speed and many other handy bits of info.

I also got the battery tray mounted today as well.

Got the obdII port wired up today and came up with a total of 8 codes. 4 of which were evap that my ecu flasher forgot to take out of the computer when he flashed it.

So right now I'm chasing 2 throttle position/pedal position sensor faults in hopes that they are the only things keeping me from running.

If only I had read a little closer. I kind feel stupid seeing as i read over this site that Brandon put together probably hundreds of times. One just so happens to be the low reference and the other the 5v high reference. So to me it seems like the ECU is essentially thinking I have the gas floored while trying to start it, which is a no start criteria for ls motors. Guess we will see tomorrow. If it had been a snake it woulda bit me.

Didnt work. Troubleshooting more.

Update: could not find any issues on my end. Taking the ECU to a local place tomorrow to have it checked.

Doing some more troubleshooting today. But right now it seems more like throttle body, ecu, or issues with the harness I made. But I'm wringing out the harness to rule it out anyway. Have to get this P0641 code and then try to start it up after that. I know I'm missing 5v at the pil pressure sensor for sure.

Pretty sure I found my fault. My brand new map sensor was bad and ground out half my 5v references. Ls1 engines wont starte with a bad map. So now I'm going to go get another one and see if that's all.

Also got my goodies for the shifter in the mail.

What drive shaft did you end up going with, need to pick one up for my Duster build.
Originally I had picked one up off a 96-98ish subarban/tahoe. It was about 58 1/8 ish long, but it was a 4" wide driveshaft. Was only $40

After I got it the guy made me a brand new custom one with ujoints for $130 since he didnt have the parts to modify the one I bought.

I briefly got it on there today. The van map requires a bigger hole than the ls1 map. So I have to break out the drill and bore it out a little bit. But it wanted to start alot more, no more p0641 code and it actually ran for a little bit and then died. But I was trying to hold the map sensor down while this was happening. So I'm going to clean up the bay a little but. Finish reloacating the battery to the back, add a few more grounds, bore the map hole a little more and then try again. Not showing any faults right now except the evap stuff, so fingers crossed.

Still showing no faults, but im not getting my injector pulse either according to the noid light kit I borrowed from autozone today either. I went to testing that after I sprayed some starter fluid in the intake and it fired right up. I know I have my 12v positive power to the injectors. So i'm looking into maybe the fact the VATS patch didn't take and its still disabling the injector pulse because it thinks I stole it from a chevy…… lol. but still making progress.

Ecu is being tested this week, so hopefully I have an answer back by the weekend. Since im moving into a bigger place right near by, ill be busy till I at least hear back about the ECM.

ECU checked out good. He three it in a 2014 silverado with a 6.2 and it fired right up. We did find that I have one of the starter wires that is normally grounded by the ecm, which is currently run to my starter relay, so it's got power coming in where a ground is supposed to be. ECU should be back here tomorrow for me to test and see if that was the only thing or not.

I had to switch the car over to a different storage unit, and of course too a few seconds to get s fee motivation pics before stuffing her back in there.
