Got back to the track on Friday. Best of 15.75 @ 87mph. Still lots in her. I fixed some things but introduced a vacuum leak and it was idling like ****. I have 3 more race times I can make this year so I really hope to get things sorted out!

Got to the track again and made a few runs before it started to rain.. Also got an official weight on the car. The CAT scale at the local truck stop says #3820. Found the rear diff to be a 2.71 instead of 2.76. Installed a transgo 2 shift kit and the new best et. is 17.397. MPH is now 78.90 . .128 better et is not too bad considering the car only shifts once. Never gets out of second before the stripe.
Nice! Boy, you really guessed your weight about spot-on... LOL. I made the update in the standings.
I know what you mean, my 360 Duster has 2.45 gears, and my 318 Duster has 2.76 gears. It's a decision at the end "do I cross in 2nd or go to 3rd"... LOL

Got to the track again last night but failed to make any improvement. I installed a taller air filter to make about a .5" gap between the lid and housing. I also increased the accelerator pump shot. My 60 ft. went down .02 but the car nosed over right when shifting. I thought the transmission because I recently installed a transgo kit. On the second run the same thing happened. I'm thinking engine this time. This morning had a hard time getting her to fire. Since my next improvement on the list is a better ignition system with modified advance curve I will start there. I already have the parts.

Nice! I might have to get a clutch fan. .2 is a good drop.
well, I bet a lot of the .2 was due to the air being better

Great run with 2.45s! It would be interesting to see what she would do with 3.23 or 3.55 gears. What is your shift RPM?
- Don't know exactly on the rpm's, I don't have a tach. Just shifting by ear. I'd guess about 4800 rpm's.. broom stick handle for a cam and no headers, ya know... LOL

I plan to go to Saskatchewan International Raceway on Sunday for the last race of the season. I hope the weather holds!

Got a few runs 13.16 was the best in the 2 time trials, once I got into the race the next 3 passed I dumped at the end. Think we were down to 4 cars and then the rain came, canceled for yesterday and today. Never got to weigh it or test and tune. We have until end of October, if the weather is decent I’ll try to get back for t n t. If not I’ll weigh it at a nearby scale to at least get an entry.
Nice, what is the car again? what motor and what's been done? Start a post and tell us your build, go through the penalty box, guess your weight (we'll adjust weight when u weigh it), post your dial index, we'll get you in the standings
I missed out on the last track day of the year sunday. Life got in the way. I guess that's it for 2018. I'll be ready for spring 2019!!!
