Correction .... best prior to manual valve body was 14.553
After 14.150
Check out the reaction times. Funny thing is the best times were both on the first passes of the night.

Think you may have done the math wrong for your car. I came up with 13.7 dial time for you.

He did a good job on deductions, and even the 2.6 total is correct. But when you deduct 2.6 from 15.9, he has a 13.30 dial.

Would like for him to join, but he'll need a 2018 E.T. slip :)

You’re right....damn decimal point....try this.
14.6-2.6=12 flat?
Can that be right? What am I missing?

nominal is 15.9. you have 2.6 worth of deductions, so your dial would be 13.3 with the info you gave.
Care to join? you'll need a 2018 E.T. slip is all :)

If I need a 2018 slip than that leaves me out for 3 more months. Lol.
Well I’ll be watching anyway. Have a new cam in by then new slips. I’m still in.

2018 is for 10 more months :D We are still getting rid of the last of our snow where I'm at and our track doesn't open till mid April. Make as many changes as you like, just update the dial index accordingly so I can make the change on the racers chart.

Yup...13.3 the way it sits.
Looking forward to it.
Will add an additional-.6 for new cam installation.
Will be 12.7 dial time.

I couldn't figure out where you got the 14.6 from but dont feel bad I did mine wrong the first time too.

I just didn’t see the 15.9 nominal and was working off 318willrun’s 14.6 original dial time. I’ll do better next time. Lol.

New England Dragway is awesome but at the whim of Mother Nature. Not sure if April is even accurate but May for sure.

OK, I will be first again this year, i did the math and came up with a 12.00, i have made some improvements since last year, but my best this year so far is 11.93 and that was on the brakes

AWESOME!! Our first place winner from last year making a splash to kick us off! Last year you needed a 12.20 and ran it. I see the improvements. I'm sure folks (including me) will want to know about this 11 second (still 318?) street Duster, so when you get a chance, post the build :)
(your numbers are in the chart, post 40)
P.S. - snowing here today, March 24th..... :( April 21st our strip opens

My dial will tentatively be 13.2 until I can scale it. Last years best was 13.69. Gotta find some power somewhere without getting gigged for the upgrades. :BangHead:

1970 318 block, i think its a truck or marine block has 4 mounting tabs for motor mounts, cam is under .500 lift, Eddy heads, and i did upgrade the valve springs this year to trick flow. Crane gold rockers, Eddy RPM air gap intake manifold, and a 650 Brawler Carb. 904 Trans with Dynamic conv around 3200 stall and 4.30 gears in the back. and i know it was not a one time shot on the ET the next race first pass out was 12.02, the day it ran the 11 the weather was perfect for horsepower.

I will work on the video, i have one but i cannot get it to load here

Durangowillrun

2003 Dodge Durango 2wd 5.9 all stock
4400 lbs (weighed with no spare and under 1/2 tank) - add 1.1 = 17.0
30.5 inch tires - add .2 = 17.2
360 - subtract .6 = 16.6
mag block - subtract .3 = 16.3
FI - subtract .4 = 15.9
mag heads - subtract .4 = 15.5
3.55 gears - subtract .5 = 15.0

Dial Index 15.0 .... ran a 15.98 :(

It pretty much lets us know what a Durango will do. I was always wondering what my wife's Durango would do but it's a 318. Actually the red one seem to tow a lot better then this purple one. Both completely identical year and motor, but both had different trim packages.
30.5 tires? Not 31's ?

probably would be 31's off the vehicle. Yeah, cool thing with this race is a lot of info on builds, or just info on a 100% stock Durango :D
