Damnit J-Par your killing me here , I was searching for 1 of those last month , they've gotten too expensive if you can find them now . There was even a guy with an online store selling carb and exhaust upgrades to get a little more zip out of them , but it looks like he shut it all down .

I seen one Craigslist a couple years ago. The guy didn't want an unreasonable amount but it wasn't $50 either. I would have loved to picked it up but you know how those deals only come by when you're totally broke.

Yeah there was a post here on FABO a few years ago for 2 in the crate units , one was clearly used and re-crated but the other looked new and at the time they seemed ridiculously priced , now you couldn't get a good used one for what they wanted for both .hmmm seems theres one on ebay right now with no buy it now price , the bidding is only like 265 so far .

Well just read the description and it doesn't look like it runs doh ! theres another bid up to 50 bucks that definitely doesn't run or even turn over .

Passports arrived! Heading to New Brunswick next month, US gov't shutdown or not!

My son is getting a track extension to get his 120" track up to a reasonable 137".... Probably all packed trail riding this winter but he'll be better off when we eventually get back out west.

I guess to be honest I'd rather have the snow. I mean I could put snowmobile track on the back tires of the Duster.

I still have snowmobile oil (yamalube and Amzoil) around, and some parts... LOL.

Is it worse having a snowmobile with no snow or snow with no snowmobile ????
:realcrazy::realcrazy:
Thats easy you can dirt track a snowmobile but dragging your backside down a powder trail without one sucks .

PS It just rained all night here so we don't have any real snow left either :(

I got a smokin deal on mine. My coworker bought a flipper house. He came into work knowing I like anything with a motor. Said he has a shed in the back yard with 6 motorcycles and a sno runner "what ever that is he said". Asked me if I wanted to buy it all. I gave him $500 for all of it.

Out of the collection there was a first year Gold Wing, 2 Honda dirt bikes from the 70's, a yamaha 90 (which I wish I would of kept). and 2 other Honda street bikes from the early 80's, plus the sno runner. I ended up selling all of the bikes for $1800 and kept the sno runner. The rest of the money paid for NOS parts for the sno runner.

I stripped the paint off of the frame, which is all aluminum and repainted it, but I think Im going to send it in for powder coating. The paint just isnt holding on that well.

I wonder if it would be worth it once it's taken down to the frame to have some extra aluminum gussets and a small bit of reinforcement work done to it because of the aluminum?

Surprisingly they seem to be very well built and solid. If anything the only spot I would think to do it would be the steering post to body, but that even has some gussets already factory welded on.

Well jonesing pretty bad to go snowmobiling. Just seen the guy that bought my two Place trailer this last fall with his two snowmobiles loaded at the grocery store looking like he was getting supplies for a day out snowmobiling. He said he was going up to Mount Hood. I'd be surprised if they're even grooming yet.
I clean the garage today to get ready for- well the next projects as always and I had to turn the duster around LOL that was the first time I drove it since my friend came from the East Coast just a few days before Thanksgiving. I try to drive it once a month during the winter if I have it available to do so. Got to go out and spin the flat spots off....

Well the rain we got made every patch of hard packed snow in the yard treacherous. And now its snowing on top of it. This sucks.
Its dangerous.
