Great article thank you !!!
ive only seen that type of distributor on fords
Funny you say that because an MSD distributer for a mopar is a ford distributer. (ford parts interchange) MSD
MSD make a front mount dizzy
9500 rpm. Note the cast rocker arms from the TA/AAR 340's. Same stuff basically in a 273 2 barrel engine. Cast iron fellas. Cheap to produce, strong, and stable at high rpm. Here is the article that goes with the picture

The reason I have all of these is when I got these 69 X heads with T/A rockers I was trying to figure out what they were, I was told they were 69 Stock class NHRA cheater heads. The heads were made in 2-69 and the T/A wasn't available till late 70.

Yes, good iron but still cast.Ductile Iron or Nodular iron is much stronger than just cast iron.
Another reason Mopar engines are so tough.I love how it calls the little old ductile iron rockers "9500 RPM valve gear". That's awesome. lol
Sure looks like a "magneto ignition" to me...But! What do I know?
Who had photo of specialGar----on---teee ya it was a mag!!!
