First Taurus I dealt with was a .38 special revolver (unsure of exact model) something was throwing pieces of metal back into my face when I would drop the hammer. I was a teenager at the time so I didn’t investigate much. I also had a 92b (the 92fs knock off) I had tons of failure to feeds with multiple types of ammo. I was also took the 1911 in on trade and had failure to feeds and eject with that. I’ve handled other pistols of theirs and I have never been impressed. With Canik on the market there is no reason to buy a semi auto Taurus. I would honestly pick a hi-point over a Taurus at this point in time.

I will say that Taurus has improved over the years. They started out somewhat questionable.
 
I have a Taurus PT-99 that I bought in 1987. I have put over 5000 rounds through it and never had any issues with it. It is still my favorite handgun.

Let me get this straight, you had a FAILURE TO FEED ON A 38 REVOVER ??
If it was throwing stuff in ur face , it means the dam thing was wore out before u got it , and the cyl. wasn't being held in the right alignment with the barrel.
I have had 4 diff. 38`s and none of them did that.
My favorite carry is an alum. , 6 shot , that was built for bomber pilots back in ww2, lite weight , very accurate , fairly easy to hide , not much safer to carry than a revolver !
What do u guys think about the open carry thing now a lot of places have ??

I may have mis typed that but I don’t believe I ever said I had a failure to feed on the revolver.

I just read my post again and I have no clue how you got that out of my post. The failure to feed was with the 92fs knock off. Water under the bridge at this point. I don’t see myself going back to Taurus.

It is. Many people kinda push these handguns to the side because they are made in Turkey.

I have a SAR K2P (CZ75 clone) that is made in Turkey and it's a great shooter.

For a little over 200 bucks OTD, I really like it.

How correct you are! When someone says made in Turkey, I think of one thing(4 actually, the others being gravy, mashed potatoes and stuffing) and that was my last company truck a 2014 Transit Connect. The earlier models were made in Turkey, And the 2010, 2011, etc were not great trucks.

I love my 26 it has the short grip but it doesnt affect the handling (for me) at all. I like the fact that I can carry it with the factory 10 round mag so that is doesnt print but I carry 2 extra g19 mags so I have the extra capacity of the full size glock.
Also if your on the range just plinking you can throw some g19 mags in it and blast away. The shorter sight radius doesnt seem to affect its accuracy.
I was always a 40 and 45 fan I hated 380s and 9mms until I bought a 380 and 9mm. Now I have sold all my 40s I still have my 1911 but dont carry it anymore. I love my 9mm. I had a glock 22 full size 40. My 26 is smaller lighter easier to carry has more capacity (with a g19 mag) and has less recoil and is easier for me to get back on target for follow up shots. Dont get me wrong I loved my 22 but I just prefer the 9mms now. I want to get a glock 19 for truck duty I may some day.
