So this is described as "Antique car" lol

Back from airport run.
Picked up the electric trailer jack, will be nice.
Friday. No work. No hoist.
Some back burner work to do.

A really bad weather night in the area. One storm after another for the last four hours.
Lost count of how many tornados reported on the ground. Nothing within 15 miles of us though.
Straight line 70-80mph winds, 2' hail, lots of rain, and flash flooding. Again close thankfully missed that too.
Storms are slowing down, probably up for awhile longer. Summer in the Midwest...ugh!!
All is good here.

This pic was taken a few miles from our place. We saw the clouds, pretty cool, but nasty looking.
Had upper rotation later, but nothing touched the ground.

At least I got some good news today, from what the sister in law is saying her mother is going to survive - she's a pretty tough cookie... It will just take time to heal...

It turns out that she didn't get rear ended, but T-boned on the passenger side...

They are talking about trying to get her car out of the tow lot, and I said, "Why??? If she is that injured, the car is most likely totalled..." Leave it in the tow yard and let the insurance pay out and get another one... It's just a Honda CRV, nothing special... Why pay the towing fees to get it out of the tow lot and then pay to tow it to the house for it to eventually be towed to a junk yard... Let it go... :realcrazy: :BangHead: :wtf:

Well hopefully only a frame rail that can be straightened I guess.

I always heard that it depended on how good the person doing the straightening was... and how bent it was to determine how good it was in the end. Not sure how much the technology has improved since back in the day....

It depends on how bent the rest of the unibody is... They may have to pull it straight first, then replace the frame rail with a new one...

It also depends on how good the body man is and if he can rig it up to get it aligned with the rest of the car/body...

Good glad she'll be ok. I know it will take time, but hopefully she'll fully recover and enjoy life.
