I got my beer brewing kit today and I actually looked at the directions. Seems easy enough I don't like the idea of plastic would rather have glass I would think is better but first time I'll use plastic..

Plastic is A OK for brewing. The alcohol content isn't high enough to break down the plastic. Now distilling it is a no-no for final spirits. You can mash and ferment in food grade because it's low alcohol. That Bewitched is supposed to be good stuff! Make sure you clean everything well including the spoons you stir with. I don't sanitize my pans because you boil water in those.

OK sounds like a plan. Gonna use spring water from the store because our water sucks here. will follow the directions for the first time.

Fred, I am guessing it is going to turn out really bad, in fact you should probably just let me dispose of it for you to be sure! Hah! I too was cruising the Mr Beer site, saw the same plastic and it gave me pause. I may need to cruise up your way and do a quality control check!

To be honest I was gonna bring you the first bottle to sample and if you got a smile on your face me and Hemi would crack one open and share with a doggie treat. :)

You cruise up here and we will do a killer dinner and and make some kind of nasty good desert.
And polish off a bottle of good whiskey for sure.
