1.92 valves for the record...LOL. Tell you what we can do. Get a ET slip with your clutch tamer. Bolt your heads on and see the difference. I'll do the exact same, and we'll see whose ET drops the most - mine or yours. That would be a fun thread "J pan's heads vs 318WR heads" Biggest difference wins!
Here's or maybe I can get somebody to step into this conversation with a little bit of reality for 318 has valves that will fly...?
Once you start getting a 3000 lb approximately brick going down a straight away the difference between getting a car to go from 15 seconds down to 13 seconds is 10 times easier than trying to get a car to go from 12 seconds down to 10....
CAN I GET SOME HELP HERE..??

He's staying 6 tenths ahead of me.. 6k 410 stroker, roller rockers, ported 2.02's, .520 lift cam, tunnel ram, 3.54's vs stock 700 dollar 360, stock 904/converter, 2.94's. As you can see, he gets the most for his money... BWHAHAHAHAHAAAA Now, I've got to get a few things done. Back to Pro Comp heads

He left out my Dana 60 and my vertigate for Speed dammit and what about my $500 direct connection valve covers!
Unfortunately for 318 has valves that will fly every time he drives is duster he gets this underwhelming feeling of low power and not being able to even chirp the tires.
Well on the other hand I've constantly got an overabundance of torque and Power everywhere I go "requiring" drag radials..

I've already said the heads look like 2 jewels... I can't detect one imperfection in them at all... I'm full of confidence and can hardly wait...
But as you can see my wife has different plans right now.. the trim...

You paid $700 for a stock 360?..
The last 360 I bought was $50 and that came with the transmission and even the motor mounts...
Good Lord do I have to dispute that 6K every time you say it about my motor? I bought the block from the machine shop for $150. For 450 they did a complete prep. I bought the stroker kit from Jegs for like $1, 400. And yes probably somewhere in the ballpark of another 2K and assembly cam timing chain and a laundry list of other parts and work on my heads.... and yes when you go buying a host of Quality Parts to go around it or even cheap parts it gets up to about 6 grand. but just to say like I called up blueprint and order a 6 grand motor that can't beat you is just ridiculous and you need to stop trying to make that wild accusation... Remember each and every time and every day I drive my car I feel every dime of that money that I spent. And you don't....

We should really have a discussion on and start a threat about is at this new price point of 820 to your door is it still worth putting that kind of money into cast iron LA or Magnum heads?
 
Just didn't seem to be a viable option years ago. It's obvious that the Builder of my engine would not have entertained these heads to begin with.. live and lean..

It would be pointless. Every build is different and has a different goal. In other words, if somebody was building a 360 Magnum, EQ heads may be the way to go. IF you are building a LA 360, now you need pushrods too with the EQ's. No doubt, when procomp has their sales, it's a good deal. But then somebody goes 10's with the factory J heads, so maybe it's all a waste of money … LOL

Just so you know, I believe the EQ's would have a slight edge in flow out of the box than you ProComps. Again, folks were running 11's & 10's long before all these aftermarket heads were a click away. Not just talk'n stock eliminator either

Okay I went back and looked and it was post 880 where 318 has valves that will fly started in... And on 887 I said here we go! LOL hopefully back to Ground Zero now...

it's been over 3 weeks since we seen the pictures of the rusty Dusty R Block laying on the floor any progress? now that the ultimate bench racer has spoken This Thread is doomed to go to crap now! I usually like to just let the time slips do my talking.

All this other back and forth crap is just a waste of bandwidth(or something like that).
