Do you plan on making this car drag only?
What if he went conservative on converter/cam and had two sets of gears?

smaller cam, tighter converter using 4.56 gears. would still work with 3.23's (or is there no benefit to using a taller gear with a smaller cam/tighter converter.

vs large cam, loose converter, doesn't work well with 3.23's compromising both sides with 3.91's

maybe you can explain the difference between putting someone on ignore for a couple hours or a few days so both of us can stop bickering at each other and get some questions answered and someone leaving The Forum for the rest of the year?...

Who's out for the rest of the year? I must have missed something.

Don’t mind me...... I’m just here to check in, and fluff up the non-technical post count.

Speaking of pizza....... I was just thinking the other day how it’s been years since I’ve had some good Sicilian pizza.

Carry on.......

Don’t be so grouchy. Lol. Sit down and have a slice. It’s winter

I’m not even a little bit grouchy.

Well, not about this thread anyway.

I’m not sure there is any pizza shops in this area anymore that do Sicilian.
The last place I had it changed hands....... they stopped selling it....... then changed hands again, new name........ not as good..... then closed the doors.
It’s a Dominos now.

The original guy was from Brooklyn...... and he knew how to make a pizza.
I grew up in NYC, where you could get a good slice on just about any street corner.
Sicilian too.
He made it like I used to get as a kid.

Domino's is not pizza! That's like McDonald's with sauce... And I didn't even mean sauce... That's like McDonald's with ketchup...
You come to the Great Northwest look up Flying Pie pizza.. there won't be any disappointments.. make sure to tell them garlic and seasoning as well...
I may not know how to Port a head but I know how to order a pizza!...

Who's out for the rest of the year? I must have missed something.
on General discussion he started a thread this morning saying he checked his PM's and he's out till the new year...
People well wishing him and stuff like that but I can track my brain enough to figure out what could be going wrong with him or his family that will be turned right back on on the 1st of January? Maybe he can't afford the internet service for a while... I haven't had cable in like 2 years...

Also no Bromance and no date for yellow rose and I.. if it's obvious to anybody else but as soon as I said I was close or in the vicinity... AWOL .. since...:rolleyes:...

I’m trying to figure out what you’re disagreeing with in my post.

I never said the Dominos was an improvement or anything...... but there's no denying that’s what it is now.

There were several excellent pizza shops in the neighborhood I grew up in in nyc.

55 plus years ago I had a place 1.5 blocks from my house in Pa that sold 3/4 inch thick pizza by the piece. I would call my Grandma and say getting pizza how many do you want. She would laugh and say 4. 412-224-5311 was their phone number. Best pizza I ever had except Dough Roller in Icean City on the Boardwalk. And that place got bonus points for young beautiful girls in swimming suits. Lol

Don't take it so hard I hit the disagree with everybody once in awhile...
Just disagreeing the Dominos and Pizza should not be in the same word or ballpark...

318 has valves that will fly left the forum just in time! His son took the lead in the votes and is not even in the race according to him,??!...

Well back to the subject at hand... Getting 318 has valves that will fly into an 11-8...
Personally I think you nailed it with the stroker kit... He was talking about promaxx heads for $1500... Plus all the bolts and gaskets to make it work and stuff like that.. cam torque converter and gears.... I too was wanting him to start from the bottom and work his way up... I found it a great base to start with especially when Street driving is wanted..
Of course I know it would go against his grain to do anything that I've done first,.. but on the other hand he would love nothing more than to be able to do it cheaper and go faster... I think it's obvious in my prediction will be that he's gone underground to pop-up and animerge ahead...

Probably quickest, easiest and possibly even cheapest way would be to drop a big block in it. JMO!!! When it comes to budget, their is no replacement for displacement. Not counting turbo or the laughing gas.

Stroking to anything less than a 450 cubes is just toying with the idea of stroking. Cheaper to build horsepower with a big block foundation.

When you get it all figured out go ahead and re answer my question if you would

You mean this question?
Jpar, I was just giving you a hard time,,,,,,,,not that you would ever do that.
I am going back and deleting my post.
