ALERT!! SOUND THE ALARM!!..

FWIW, when I took the check-mark out of "residential" on my address, that's when I got back the option of free ground shipping. Otherwise, only next day and saver options would list, at several hundred dollars each.

Might be. I can't remember if I checked residential or not on the second attempt.

I ordered the loaded big block heads and it says build to order. Anybody got a clue how long that takes?

From where I sit, lol 703 bucks is a good deal for a complete aluminum head.
FWIW I bought a set of 440 source stealth big block heads a few years ago. I followed IQ52( Jim) advice and went through them.
I am very happy with the performance of them over the past 3 years despite all the negative reviews.
Thanks Jim for sharing your opinion and information on the big block stealth head.

No...... the heads aren’t as nice as something like a TF head.

But...... you will have enough $$$ left over to have them looked over....... and even after that still have some $$$ for some “extras”, like head bolts, gaskets, maybe an intake manifold, etc.

The bottom line is, you shouldn’t be expecting the same level of fit and finish as premium parts when the cost is about 1/3 as much.

That and a TrickFlow isn’t a COPY of an Edelbrock head. It’s in a class of its own.

Whoomp There It Is... I've been running those heads on my car for 4 years you're not going to get a better deal. they're comprable in every way to an Edelbrock and will respond pretty much exactly the same to improvements

How do you get free shipping? I have to click on delivery method which adds shipping.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Boy their website sucks. I think I got the order through. Pay Pal has the correct amount pending.

I ordered my small block heads yesterday. During checkout it brought the shipping options up, it was already set to the free ground shipping. It didn't come up until I was on the checkout page.

You had better luck than me. I’ll try to call today or may just can the whole idea.

I had checked the residential box so I Logged out (cancelling the order) and logged back in rebuilding the order. Got the free shipping once all was correct.

We here at FABO probably ordered $100,000 of parts in the last few days.

OK, little nugget here, just got off the phone with Speedmaster, I bought the SBM loaded heads on the promo deal with the free intake, also the SS rocker kit, free shipping over 100 bucks, I was billed $982.07
Well I see now the same heads I ordered are $703 with free shipping, but no "free" intake!, so in actuality I paid $117 for the "free" intake", I guess not a bad deal, but very misleading. The person said My stuff should ship today, We'll see.

Jason finally called me back and I placed my order. Two bare small block heads and a set of studs shipping my way tomorrow. He sent me a very nice email to complete the transaction and to thank me.

Ok, I was either going to kick myself If I missed the deal, or my wife is going to kick me if I did, Either way I was going to get kicked, so ordered a set of bare heads, studs and 1.5 stainless roller rockers. Now we need to get recommendations on good valves to use! Springs will depend on cam choice. I have a 30 over 318, Performer intake, 650 Edelbrock carb, but no clue on cam, compression ratio etc. was in the car when I got it. I added a set of Dougs Headers and 2.5" Pypes Exhaust. Heads on it currently are 360 cop heads according to the number. So probably do some clean up and gasket match on the SM heads, slap either ld340 or ld4b ( I have both) on it and call it good. Car still has 7 1/4 rear end. It's convertible that I'm converting to 4 speed, but will be just a cruiser/street car.

Those small chamber aluminums should perk up your teen a bit I would think. I don't know how your iron heads flow but these are as good or better by far and a increase in compression will help your bottom end.

Just under 7 hours left!!!..
Right now I'm not buying the intake manifold and I absolutely have no use for an do not know what I would put/use it on just driving me nuts!!!..
I just know I want to do a magnum swap one day...
