Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
I had grilled chicken, porkchops and bratwurst in the fridge.. Just needed to be warmed up... But I went off the deep end and cooked bacon, eggs & hashbrowns! May not have been the healthiest dinner, but it was sure tasty!
Just cut the fat with some ethanol and call it good. Add a splash of fruit juice and it’s a well balanced meal!

The 4 major food groups are:

Sugar
Fat
Salt
Alcohol

The fifth optional group is tobacco.

If you want to maintain a nice banana yellow complexion...avoid those veggies!

Oh its starting to be that time of year again.
A light green dusting on every surface.

Just starting? We have been getting bombed by it for weeks out here in the ‘burbs. And it isn’t a dusting...it’s a solid crust!

I'm veggied out! Been eating more salad than the Easter Bunny.. I was really craving some Arby's crap.. This was still probably better.

The list of what took WAY longer than I thought it would this weekend:
1. The "Ready To Assemble" shelf....only good thing there is that it got the boxes of records and laserdisc off of the floor (yup laserdiscs). 3 hours holy crap, PITA.
2. Stihl chainsaw, my limber that I took to a jobsite last week, wouldn't start. Change of gas....change of sparkplug....take to ACE Hardware to find out Stihl gives you bum gouge on choke starting directions, 5 times max with choke, then, even if it Doesn't burp....half choke....Ohhhhh….

I didn't get everything done for sure, planted a Blue Spruce that was screaming plant me you assho@#! Mowed the lawn but no weedeating. Filled half a trench in back yard. Rant over, wish I was retired instead of "just tired".

We finished the mulching today with the last bed up on the back hill where the holly trees are. Good thing, my back is killing me after yesterday and today didn’t help.

Came back in only to find that the rest of my lawn fertilizer had been delivered. Great. :BangHead:

Screw it, I’m not doing it tomorrow. It can wait until Wednesday when it’s cooler and I can give my back a day of rest.

Well this is a gut punch. An old friend that I worked with back when we were getting my Dads Biotetech company off the ground just sent me this. Al was a close friend of my Dad and we were all like family.

“Don't know if you heard through the grape vine, but wanted to reach out with unfortunately sad news. Jean Owen (Al’s wife) passed away last week. She apparently fell down their stairs at home a few weeks ago and sustained a major head injury and resulting brain swelling. Not too many details, but from the sounds of it, I think they did surgery to relieve the pressure, but she never recovered. I am so heartbroken for Al. He wasn't allowed to see her in the hospital due to the virus, and I dont know if he was eventually able to before she passed or not. I will send any memorial information when I get it.

She is the 4th person in just the past week to have passed among my friends/family from various causes a dozen or so people I know who have died in the past month and a half from the virus. I hope you and your family are staying safe. This is all crazy.”

Trying times...I have no other words.

Sorry to hear that...

I don't think so...

I think they were gonna test us to get cert, but don't know now with the kung flu virus issues...
My advice, DO IT! Seriously, first chance you can. I know for a fact that of the three drafting companies in my team, the very first question asked when we are reviewing resumes, does he/she have any Solidworks certs? If they do, they go automatically into the review immediately pile. If they don’t, they go in the review at a later date pile. We interview the ones with certs first, unless there’s someone with a ton of experience but no Cert, then that person typically gets first interviewed

I will have to contact the teacher and ask him...
