Mine is the same very heavy and side glass is the same.
Yea new weather strip is expensive I replaced all mine and the quality is not as good as the original.

No I don't like the look of the rear when tinted. The Glass I have still looks really nice for its age and has a lot of the factory green tint to it..
I'm gonna clean it up an polish both and see how they turn out.
They sure made them thick back then. I know what you mean by the green.

The front glass is the dirtiest buts its mostly rubber sealer some one gouped on at one point and some also put a Plymouth sticker on it at one point and it just turns to dust when you touch it so that has to go..

You should be on the road soon I would guess, mine is on the road but a long way from being done.

What's he got??? Tried that with my kids trying to get mine done and ended up getting one done before mine. lol

He hasn't got anything yet, but he has been bit by the bug. No pun intended~
He wants an older 64-67 bug no fender and a 2-4" front end stretch. I've done everything i can to sway him but he's sticking to his guns this is what he wants!
I told him okay but he has to build it motor and all... I also told him if we build a 1600cc or 1800cc I'll build a turbo setup for him...

Those are cool. I don't know much about them old VW's but I see how easy they are to work on. I hear the engines can be tricky to build.
