Been an ardous week.
And more stuff rolling in.
Municipality brought me a truck,their star mechanic (recently escorted off premises) did a brake job and didnt replace the caps that seal the caliper pins gm k2500. Front brakes dragging hard. How lazy does someone have to be?

Im hoping they arent warped, waiting for the new hydroboost unit to come in before road test.

i dont know, we have this problem with one of our tractors. They made it without ANY drastic changes other than little stuff like gear knob size, hydraulic hose size etc, for nearly 12 years. And guess what, the title... doesn't have a year. and no place on the tractor does a year exist either. I was in elementary school when we bought it.

But a tractor isn't a car with proper IDs and registration papers in the glove box and license plates so it's not really the same problem.

no but my point was, i can understand how one can forget over the years. especially if its been 15-20 years since they owned it.

So you're saying that if you work on something, you can just absolutely not pay attention and then 15 to 20 years later, blame it on a memory problem when you don't actually have a memory problem, just not paying attention ??

no, that's not what im saying. I'm saying i can understand, especially since some people turn cars over like they change seasons. I've got a buddy who trades/sells/buys his daily driver by the season, no joke. since ive known him, hes gone thru at least 20 vehicles.

I still remember all the cars I have been through since high school.
I have almost that many here now, and I never say "its a 68 or 97, or something" it either is or it isn't

68 or 97 is a huge difference between 96 or 97.

I bought a 4 speed from a cute guy and he said it came out of an E body. I asked exactly what kind of car was it and i got " I don't remember "
I said, well did you at least look at the car??

Still cute how men are

this is gonna get me laughed at, but I've actually never forgotten a holiday, anniversary or birthday. Yet. Now I will forget to take out the garbage lol

I do keep track of the build dates of the cars though

my wife..... like they say, happy wife, equals happy husband who doesn't listen to nagging when he goes to play with his life sized hot wheels
