The are RN has a bigger hex and slightly taller. Any problems with one versus the other
Same reach below the shoulder different above the washer shoulderPhysically it looks like the RN has a longer reach into the combustion chamber.
That's what I was wondering what kind of issues you might have so with stock heads not that problemI can tell you this the standard RN or N plug won’t fit in a Edelbrock head. There’s no room for the socket. I found that out.
Are saying RN 12& RC12 Will probly have a different heat. Is that because the size of the plug Outside of the reach dissipates heat differenceThey are both classified as 3/4" reach. I think the first "C" means "compact." I have no idea as to performance. Bear in mind tho, that the heat range is relative ONLY to once series of plug. In other words you cannot compare heat range numbers, tho they might be close
It is physically larger. It’s a standard 13/16” socket. The smaller plug is a 5/8” or 11/16” socket. I don’t recall which.Must have been camera angle then. The threads look the same length but pas that the RN looked longer.
They're both GARBAGE..get a set of Autolites!!!
Don't think you can eliminate an entire line of something When youyou have a problem with one of them. maybe you're tuning was off for that particular plug.
What autolite do you recommend
Stock headWhat heads is he using ?? I have been using 3924's for years in my Edelbrock heads never an issue!!!
All the others look OK. I think this one is bent come to think of it I have another set of rockers a grab 1 off of that set.Don’t think you have those rockers on the shaft right.

And now an annoying story from the old days
In the early 70's, stationed at NAS Miramar, I had a part time job at the auto hobby shop. I came across two sailors, who told me they were having trouble getting his old Corvette to run. So I went with them, it was "downtown" at the "32nd st" Navy base. Turned out the thing had a weird ignition called a "du-coil" If you have never dealt with one, DON'T. They are two 4 cyl ignition systems in one distributor. One set of two pairs of points fires 4 cylinders and the other set fires the other 4....weird cap and rotor, two coils

But the Ducoil is not the story here. I managed to get the points changed in the thing, and bear in mind that gapping the points is VERY critical, as the timing changes between the two systems as per point gap.
I pulled a plug and it was A CHAMPION N_Y series!!!!
He had bought J_Y which was correct for a ??62ish Vette, BUT THEY WOULD NOT START IN THE HOLES!!!
Turns out he had an early? set of peanut plug heads had made their way onto the engine, valve job I don't know what, and when someone installed the plugs and could not get the J series to go, they stuck those long *** N 3/4 reach in there
Sent him out to get a set of 5/8 short reach tapered seat plugs and away we went.
Id think the 2 4's would allow longer coil saturation like a dual point but much longer as there are only 4 lobes. UZFE Toyota V8's have 2 seperate distributors and 2 coils, one off each head.
