Matt just bought a 68 D100. Super cool and solid runnin truck. 318. Original drive train, one owner. But, somewhere down the line somehow the alternator bracket got misplaced I guess and somebody put some bullshit on it. Can one of yall please post a picture of the correct bracket set for this truck? It still has the original timing cover and cast iron early style water pump. Thanks.

Would the brackets be the same as a car or different???

**** if I know. That's what I am asking. I "ASSUME" if the brackets are for the earlier model with the cast iron pump, they would either be the same or at least be interchangeable.

your Google broken? :poke:

Thanks Karl I should be able to find them based on those pictures.

The easy way to tell the old 60's style triangle alternator bracket from the 70 and later, is the early one has the one bolt hole in the middle to bolt it to the water pump... The 70 and later doesn't have the bolt hole in the middle of the bracket...

I was just going to ask what that bolt was for . My guess was d.s. tube support .
