Stop in for a cup of coffee

Quiet day here, all electronic devices off and enjoying ourselves together as a family. Just me, my wife and daughter. Nothing special for food, just a simple meal together around a centerpiece we carved this afternoon to celebrate the real meaning of the day...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Dave.

I spent almost a year working along side a ford diesel tech. That guy was nuts! He makes a killing in the dealership, work lined up outside waiting for him.

other dealers would send work to this guy. Smart guy.
I send him side work, as long as it has never been in the dealership where he works,he will work on it at home.

Yea the Ford houses stay backed up out here especially with the oilfield work. Thats what the majority of the work trucks are.

Speaking of diesels, I’ve decided to build a clone of my pulling truck Out my other truck. Won’t be quite as radical but it’ll have the torque. I yanked the injectors out last night, they’ll go out Monday for testing, body rebuild and for a nozzle hone and flow tube upgrade. Should pick up at least 125 hp and about 350 ft lbs. which is about 35 percent less than my old truck.

Ford used to offer one hell of a commercial discount back in the day. Not sure if they still do but it was barely above cost. Kind of like what Chrysler is doing with their police cruiser deals right now.

You know, it’s funny how some engines just produce power better than others. Like in NHRA, the top dog being blown Hemis.

The world record holder of the Powerstroke Hp and Torque record lives about 30 miles to the north of me. While it is a mean and nasty truck, it’s almost 1000 hp less than the world record holding Cummins that uses 2 less cylinders. And there’s a ton of Cummins battling for that title day in and day out. It’s crazy.

I take that back, looks like Aaron no longer holds the powerstroke record. He was at 1900 hp, since then, there’s a guy that broke 2100 hp.
However, The Haisley boys are knocking on the doorstep of 3500 HP with their 6.7 B. Damn.

Hey Dave!
Sometimes its nice to switch off.
Means more today than it did this time last year. I’m feeling stress, but cant stop watching the news, and seeing the stupid **** my fellow humans are doing.
Closed sign on shop, lights on fire going and phone out of earshot. Tunes playing, and im almost at the end of the work thats been waiting in the wings.
3-4 more days and then maybe i can de-stress a little.

On the road, Ram is by far the most popular truck pulling hot shots. Ford, then distant 3rd, GM. NOW pulling RV.s, Ford number one. Ram, then GM.

I do...Got a first Gen 12 valve...92 D250
Love them old first gens. Kind of annoyed my brother got my grandfathers 89 5spd. 156,000 miles all original, ordered new. But I got the 99 and we still have the 05.

Mitche's was awesome. Till the "accident".
Yeah I'm still pissed about that. He'll never drive it again.........Still runs great and goes down the road straight, but now relegated to go to the dump, or the lumber store. Sad story indeed....

Just keep them front wheel bearings in good shape.2wd Spindles are getting few and far between.

It is because of cost per mile.....Ram is the most profitable truck for hot shotting....
Yeah. But you know why Fords are number one in pulling RVs?

it’s because their owners got tired of long walks back home when the truck died so now they just take their homes with them.
