Stop in for a cup of coffee

At least that would be a natural part of pork...not some simulated byproduct of its existence.

I guess they think it’s ok if they add soggy onions and floppy pickles to distract you from the gristly bits of half processed toenail...
Floppy pickles, one of my most least enjoyed condiments. They forgot the alum. LOL

Then you could pick and choose a few gravy jobs for the evenings and weekend if you want to work extra. I love the parts store. I would work part time if I didn't have to be on my feet. A couple hours vertical and I'm done.

We could build you a special chair at the right height and robotic arms to pick the parts. Off your feet and extra capability. Never underestimate the power of motivated lazy people!

We have the technology! Well, at least another “hold my beer” opportunity...yeah, what could go wrong?

:rofl::rofl: I got a job offer to help out at the funeral home. Good money but I'm not a funeral kind of guy. Parts store sounds better.

Speaking of funerals, I am doing the Guards version of the Arlington ceremonial unit. Working with draft horses for funerals and such. Got the first one this weekend. Gulp

Its pretty cool to see all that in person. I've been to Arlington many times, since my Dad and Mom are both there. Seems like every time I go there I see an active funeral, some more elaborate than others...

In my parts days, we provided counter stools for all the countermen. But in todays parts world, I just think that would make the youngsters more LAZY????

No doubt. I would probably get frustrated asking customers what color their car is for a starter or water pump. LMFAO

That sounds like something I could handle. I an pretty sensitive I guess. Funerals aren't my thing. Easy to get emotional if you know what I mean. Soft hearted I guess.

Nah, I get it. There’s no such thing as soft hearted or not. The local funeral director cries at every single funeral. He’s been doing it for nearly 50 years.

death affects everyone living differently.
I’m nervous about my composure on this as well. More so than dealing with the giant draft horses. See the playing of Taps will get me every time. It has since August 4th, 2008. Last year, they played taps at the end of my daughter’s Veterans Day play and I was rolling the tears. Wife started to make fun but quickly cut it off. The end of American Sniper, the movie, with the full taps playing has me bawling every-time.

There’s a TON of prep work into these things, far more than I ever imagined. I accepted the invite to join this team simply to give something back to those who’ve earned it.

I lost a buddy and a couple others in my unit to an EFP in the Sunni Triangle that day. It became personal at that moment more so than ever before. I wasn’t there, I was safely back here recovering from surgery.

Well, I'm gonna head out and do some laundry, and go for a walk.....I'll BE BACK !!!!!

Anyway, enough of that. Looks like my FedEx package has finally left Arizona, made it to Iowa, a week later

I can stand without much trouble, but carry a dozen batteries or a few pails of oil and im done. Thats the issue. The lingering pain afterwards.
I have to stick with the freedom i have now.

Way back, only one door into parts store. Everything got carried in the front door, through the opening in counter and around the corner. Roy would not get off that goddamn stool to help, and it was right in my way.
“If you aren’t going to help, the least you could do is get the f%#c out of my way!”
Didnt even fizz in him. Lazy prick. Ya so when boss hired him again,i walked. Boss hired two more guys after i quit.
