Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good Morning All! Windy here, shop day woo hoo!
Rich you might have to give me some ideas for the shop. This 40x30 has not a bench or cabinet in it and never has. Owner built it, got sick, and never finished that part. I'm going to get some interior pic of it today. It's all brick so I'm guessing the floor is thick enough to support a lift. We can always drill test it.
My garage guy @Sublime one has a cool idea to secure the lift to the floor. I'll have to convince him and the wife on a travel trip to Arkansas to stop by. So far all he's asked for is a burger and beer:eek:...I can do that!!:D

I found a set of used kitchen cabinets and built a frame with wheels so I can just wheel it around if I want to change my decor. I never did paint them but was going to go wit red to match my rolling tool boxes,

Great, what kind of doors, how many? I have two co-workers over the mountains who are ordering BendPak lifts together, they have 5 inch floors and they have a plan to address that, not sure what that is but might be plates. Does it have any 220 wired in it? I had one circuit installed for the lift and the electrician put one more conduit and wall plate in the wall for a second circuit, wasn't sure I'd need it but am now looking for bigger 220v compressor. Lets see those pics.

I would need a few more if i was rewiring. 220 heater, welder, compressor, and hoist. I use my hoist plug for the welder, as i have never used both at the same time.

All my cabinets can be moved quite easily, some on wheels, and i can slip them out with my kubota in very little time.

Another thing is the garage doors, for me side mount motors and high lift tracks to keep the door close to the ceilings were helpful for clearance. Never had my Suburban on the lift but it gets my Duster plenty high. (12 ft walls).

10 foot tall doors two of them with two side entry/exit doors. 12 floor ceilings and lots of wall plug ins. I want a few more and will look to see if there are any 220v. It has a lot of ceiling lights, but with the height I'm not sure if they are strong enough for my liking. I have a buddy he's a car guy, big garage, and electrical contractor. He can fix me up. Pics tomorrow.

Wish it was this clean...

Good Morning and happy Friday. Get to make the call to my doctor about my shoulder. 2 weeks since Cortisone shot. No measurable difference. PT thinks tear in Labrum and rotator cuff. We will see what he says.

Cool! I guess just think where you want to work etc and go from there. I have two good standing shelves 10,000 pound capacity but would like to start adding wall shelves to get stuff off of the floor (car parts like fenders etc.) It's a constant battle to keep as much floor space clear as possible.

That was after the new floor was poured. I may need to empty shop this summer. Start over. And maybe epoxy paint.

Looks good 4 way plug ins good idea for me. Like the cabinets remember where you found them??
They are old house cabinets,5/8” plywood construction. They were in the garage at my last house. I took them when i sold.

I'll go to the rehab store and see what they have or tell them what I need.
They'll call you when they get them. I'll just sand them a little and slap some paint on them.
Probably get a nice rolling tool chest at Harbor Freight.
Want to put all the work benches a little taller so not to get the tired back when doing things.
Will defiantly need a music maker.

Good Morning folks, short work day today. Property management doing the annual walkthrough of this dump. Then off to UPS to ship package to Leanna. May even look for the courage to start cutting this hood. Going to be a beautiful weekend so I’ll need to get a cruise in also.

Craig if it doesnt have it run 220/3 in. I wish I did just for a real compressor. Running hard lines with drops is a great thing to do also if you can.

Craig all I can say is no matter how many cabinets or shelves you have it is never enough. If I had a full upstairs to my shop it would look like library shelves for sure.

I agree. With 4 vehicles in various stages keeping parts organized isnt easy. I need to get moving on either a sea can or shop addition.
