Went and dragged out a fuel tank from a pt cruiser. Its too long. Dangit. Need to figure out a fuel tank for this chevy. Buddy wont agree to installing it in truck box,and continuue the wood floor up and over the tank. I think it would be nice.

Going to use this for washing underside of vehicles. Good for rustproofing too i think.

Good Evening All! Spent the whole day accomplishing not much and am good with it! Picked up storm damage, took load to nursery- that included branches from the tree that fell across the road and took out power in our neighborhood. We maintain the road so I don't mind. Listened to The Who Live At Leeds, 3 album set, largely considered the best live album ever and I won't argue. Also for the audiophiles, it is a half speed mastered vinyl so they slowed down the cutting process and the sound is amazing! Pork roast is nearing 200 degrees, smells great but we'll see, thanks for the suggestions TMM!

Looks like I gotta replace my two year old water heater tomorrow, if I can find one. Luckily it shouldn’t be too bad since I plumbed it with ease of replacement in mind, even have an attached drain to the thing for ease of draining. Just sucks cause it’s only 2 years old. I tell you what, whirlpool stuff just ain’t made worth a damn anymore. Our whirlpool washer went out before Christmas after being just a couple years old too.

Did your element burn out or something else? Doesn't seem long, but not surprised.

Honking great album(s)

Seems the bottom element has burnt out. We have hot water but only for a few minutes. Can’t even get the bathtub halfway full before it’s cold. It’s a 50 gal water heater with dual elements.

problem is, finding the specific replacement appears to be about the same dang cost. The ones this one uses have attached thermostats and are about 250 a pop if I can find them in stock. A whole new American made unit is 479.99 plus it’s on sale for 346.99 locally. Kind of dumb I think to dick around with it.

Electricity, hot water heater, plumbing, Chris. What could possibly go wrong? On plus side he hasn't started his sky diving class yet!
Typically I’d agree. But when it went out last time, I paid a plumber and then an electrician to make it essentially a quick detach set up. A valve directly above the fill shuts off incoming water. A threaded fitting connects the cold in and then another One on the hot side out.
I had the electrican install a plug to wiring. So all I’ll have to do is flip the breaker, unplug it, shut water off, drain tank, unhook the lines, drag it out, install new one. Then have the electrician come wire it back up. Shouldnt cost all that much.

But good news, my new stroker engine for the Polara came in today!!!!

Well i think im going to try to fire up the chevy tomorrow. Needs brakes but wheres the fun in that?
