Open practice at the speedway! That's it!

Lots of snow on the ground, and still snowing. Need to go start the tractor and start digging out. Need more coffee here first. Morning everyone.

Mae heard chance of 1inch snow sometime this week. All I see on weather.com is rain. Will be below freezing some nights, but anything we get now will melt quick. So, whatever...

Good Morning

OK to the Tranny guys here.
This for a pushbutton? Really just need the gasket where the cable goes in. Looks like it to me but not sure. Chris? @dukeboy_318 Man thats a first asking Chris for advice!:poke::rofl:

hang on, I gotta savor this moment.

if this how you all feel all the time?

I could get use to this.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

that said, it does look like it’s for a pushbutton. It’s definitely got the gasket for the parking brake cable housing that mounts under the trans.

Well with the help of Joe Walsh, Jeff Healey, Joe Bonamassa, and Jim Croce I got the front end back together. Only four years later. I love a sharks tooth but there is a whole lot of em out there so I went this way. I am getting super close to getting her on the road.

Happy Pi Day!
Was at the grocery earlier and they had pies on sale for $3.14. They are nice and a pretty good deal at the regular $5 price... Got a dutch apple

So I got to spend the day trouble shooting the Polara. I still have no internal power. So a buddy of mine(he’s an hvac tech and has a much better skill level with with electrical connections than me) came over and we tested each and every wire over the course of about 5 hours. Used a MAC multimeter and a pair of test lights. Started at the battery and worked from there. All the ground test good(I added two new ground straps last summer in addition to the factory two). Ammeter is bypassed btw(yes, correct to Matt’s graphic he sent me).

so here’s where things get interesting. No power whatsoever inside the car. We couldn’t even get power to any of the circuits in the bulkhead connector. However, we have full power at the relay. So we thinking the starter relay is bad. Ordered a new one (well the “old” one was brand new last year too) and then we’ll test again.

Yes, surprisingly I had everything hooked up correct as per the factory electrical diagram. My buddy double checked it and confirmed lol.

My question is, can I by pass the bulkhead connector should it be a problem? It’s pretty corroded. Harness is from a parts car in Arizona(wildcat auto).

Have no idea what I might have sent you.
Generally when people want to bypass the ammeter, I walk away.
Occassionally I'll make an exception for an FI project or something similar.
