Saw this build on youtube. Looked like it was in either Pakistan or India, the concept and execution was brilliant. I think their electrical is a bit wonky compared to US. I cant figure out how to post the video, but it was a rectangle li e frame with about a 3 foot diameter steel flywheel on it. It had a 230V 3KW electric motor on it with a pulley and V belt driving the flywheel. Off the common flywheel shaft was a 230V 12KW electrical generator. Once the builder of this got it up to speed, he unplugged the motor from the power supply, he plugged it right into the generator output. This thing continued to run. He ran an electric cutoff wheel with it. And a wire welder I guess once you get the flywheel up to speed and the generator is outputting at full capacity it could run the motor and everything was self sustaining.

Sounds logical ---------Spock-

Sounds interesting, but there's no such thing as perpetual motion. No such thing as a free lunch when it comes to energy.

No such thing as perpetual motion machine. Whatever the configuration you lose energy with friction and heat.

The more energy that gets pulled out of the equation the sooner it comes to a stop. Not to mention trying to run an electric drill off the setup.

No Free Lunch:

Energy is neither created, nor destroyed, only converted. The conversion process is never 100%. Nothing for free..... Nothing perpetual. ever.

Except the moon:poke: and when my wife used to get on her menstralcycle ***** ***** birch nag mag nag and run my as *** over on it.

May not be perpetual motion but the rig described is about as close as it can be
Almost perpetual motion is much better than what we have now
If I’m not mistaken Toyota has a similar device in their cars

The closest thing to perpetual motion is a river or stream. Nature always wins.

Just because I'm that guy, that's not close either. There are losses....

But there CAN be losses.....as long as it keeps moving. Perpetual motion isn't about loses. It's about continued motion.

Hmm, sort of. Perpetual motion is about something staying in motion without adding any additional energy. Rivers and Streams and every body of water, moves due to external energy being applied. They will all evetually come to a stand still.

I'll be pedantic: water movement is driven by solar energy. The sun is slowly consuming itself. It may take a while, but it's not perpetual ;)

Most not in our lifetime.

Ah, but there is a change to the vessel, and therefor the machine has changed... nevermind, I'm not getting into this with you if you can't stay on topic...

oh blah blah blah . LOL It's all good. I'm havin a little fun. lol
