Quick question. Was the pickup into the 12.90’s from the gear change only or were the speedmaster heads just added too. Great job and nice video.
just gear change. The SM heads OOTB in place of the factory 360 heads brought me from 13.3's to 13.13. To be fair, the cam is way to small to take advantage of the heads.
With a one wheel rear and no tach you are leaving a bunch out there to pick up.
The car sounds good going down the track and tons of fun will be had with it!
Why are you concerned with ET’s and running Open rears with 2.9 and 3.23 gears? Just seeing what’s possible with plain pieces? I’m new to your project so sorry if I missed it of you already stated the goals.

But I do have a tach to install... - Car isn't spinning right now, but a sure grip would end the one tire fire fear. Which, at any launch it could... I'll be getting a sure grip, though, someday
- Once you get to know me, you'll learn I'm concerned (but not really) with the ET of my B250 Van, and 2500 Ram, etc etc... you get the point

I’d like to add his is working from a minimalist stand point. AKA - Do the best you can with what you got. Then add something to it. Minimally. He works the basics with what the car was born with and moves forward.
He has a channel on YouTube which helps the new guys show what is possible without running out to the store and dropping bucks on parts to get the car running it’s best. It is often what a lot of us forget to do (or mention in threads) is start with the basics. The thing most people don’t do.
Give his channel a look.
Doug headers, and if my memory serves me correct (don't bank your $$ on that!), the SM heads are 65cc. I used the fel pro 050 thick head gaskets so it would be the same as the cast heads had, for comparison.

Man that's awesome thanks for sharing! I knew you would make it into the 12s this year its still extremely early. You will be in mid 12s by summers end! Like I said before you behind the wheel is worth a half a second! That's a 13.5 combo and your running 12s lol

We only have 1/8 mile around here I would be tickled to death with a mid 8! I think that should be very doable. With 3.73 and a mildish 360.
you'll go faster than mid 8's... be patient and tune it, not only the motor, but the entire car!

I think traction is gonna be my biggest challenge. I was playing the other day running around 25mph I gunned it and it broke loose and started spinning.
