Stop in for a drink.

I suppose it being canned extends it's shelf life.
That and being boxed. When I used to hang out at the local Coors warehouse, the drivers would pull all the unsold stock when it reached a certain age. It was refrigerated in the warehouse and was usually in coolers in the stores unless there was a big promo. That was back a few decades ago though. Heat, light, and age can damage commercial beer.

4 months at room temperature. your cool basement will be the best. Watch temp swings. Because it is canned and in a case Uv is not a issue. The taste will degrade over time. Drink up or have a party Dave.
Yep, non pasteurized so I will move it all to the basement in the coming weeks before the garage goes above 72* regularly. Fortunately, the garage never gets above 78* even in the heat of Summer so I have time.

I suspect it will be all gone in 4-5 months with the vaccine opening up the ability to host some get-togethers with friends and neighbors over the Summer.

C’mon over and bring some food...the beer is on me!

I'm pretty sure I got a Coors one evening that had gone bad. It didn't taste bad, but 30 minutes after consuming it, projectile vomiting :realcrazy: Just one, not a mass quantity

Perfect! (I should check if there is any around here.) It was/is the best. Over on your side of the country I really enjoy Yuengling!

Wow this is crazy stuff. I am sipping it out of a shot glass. It has a mild ethanol taste right up front followed by a sweet creamy mouth feel and a mild vanilla after taste. It is made with wheat. Fun stuff and it goes real good with Sunny D. LOL

Harlan Wheatley is the Master distiller at Buffalo Trace.

Yuengling is probably my second choice but I also like Michelob. It’s a bit heavy though.

Like I said when my distributor first told me CEG was being discontinued, IDK if that’s just here or everywhere. It already had limited distribution so I don’t know.

I haven't been looking but I don't remember seeing it here for a long time. It is premium stuff.

Well, if you decide to go to Carlisle, I am only about 90 minutes away. You are welcome to stop by and take a couple of cases home with you. It will still have plenty of shelf life left by then.

THanks, I'll think about that.

Hi Mike, I think of you nearly every day since this image (that I previously shared with you) that I first created while you were in my thoughts has been my computer wallpaper all month. It is still one of my favorites...

And yes, I have friends at Coors who have told me the same...
Why not ask these kind folks? Surely they must know.

And the banjo is put away. Like where's Waldo. Love that kind of thing.
Years ago we went kayaking in Weeki Wachi Florida, around one of the bends in the river was a cabin with the whole deliveranCw theme, including the banging music playing. Hilarious

I asked and they told me what they know. The reality of what senior management decides is not alway apparent or shared.

Hence, the reason I said I don’t know.

Ok call me crazy, I am going to buy a couple bottles of this and add some toasted oak chips or add it to a small barrel and see what happens. It is so mellow and slightly sweet I can't help but not believe it would get some nice flavors from the oak.

That is an interesting line of thought, you will have to keep us posted on how that turns out. I am about to drop four 50,000 gallon fermenters thru the roof. Wonder if I could make a batch before they caught me? Hah!
