Stop in for a cup of coffee

Getting caught up, since home. Laundry, house cleaning, check all mail. Tomorrow get my first Covid vaccination. All on schedule. Thought all my auto customers forgot about me. But got a gravy brake job today. Nice to be back out in the shop, drink a few beers while making quick money on easy car repairs. Life is GOOD.....

So, T-Bird is finally off my back.
Dropped distributor in and made up the plug wires and it runs. With just a bump of the key i might add. Runs better, starts better. Another tick against pertronics.

Way to hot to be in the shop today. Need this

Worked on back sun porch roof. Really not the day for it, but had to be done.
Finally after two years from breaking my ankle and leg, I am able to climb a ladder like a normal person again. Not one foot one foot.

So, it goes like stink!!
But brakes are dragging. Went and checked the donor car, there are spacers on firewall,at least 1/2” thick.tempted to cut a piece of plywood and space booster from firewall.

Ok,against my better judgement,i didnt use plywood.
I have a piece of teflon,so at least it wont rot out. And its better.

PT cruiser brake light switch needs to be replaced with a new one once its been removed. I took it apart and reset it. All may need to re-adjust the brakes though. Bleed them maybe? I dunno.

I am quite dismayed. Two days ago I stopped by my Son's restaurant, to catch up, as I had not seen him in 6 months. I noticed he had a bandage on the bridge of his nose. So I asked. He said...Oh.. nothing serious. Today he called me, then explained , and sent pics as to why the bandage. Mitch Jr is 40 yrs old now, and I bought that car for him when he was 16. Albeit, it was a Malibu with a 307 and A/T. He drove it that way in HS. Then I built him a very nice 383 stroker motor for it, with a built Th400.. But he got busy with his business and let it set for years. Was a pretty valuable car. Told me he had no Ins on it since it sat so long. Very SAD for sure....Said he was showing off near his house with a burnout, and when the tires grabbed, shot him into the woods... So SAD.....
