Showed up on Friday. I'm really impressed by the build quality. Nice, thick flanges, 16 ga tubing, great collector design. Very generous sized ports especially the center ports... hope they seal, lol. I should have a set of Percy's copper gaskets laying around.

The set I installed on my Duster was a dream compared to the cheapies, mainly the driver's side

Nice!
Make sure to check the mating surfaces with a straight edge. Mine aren't even.

Not too surprised, they'll never be "head gasket flat" and they'll move around under heat anyway. You should've seen my Hooker Super Comps for my truck, lol. But they sealed, just got to keep an eye on them and use a decent gasket.

I was going just to just run them on a belt sander and get them even. Probably overkill, but it won't hurt.

That would take a really good, flat big belt sander table and no way would it hurt with a nice fine grit. I could only get the Hooker Super Comps to seal with one piece stock style gaskets and of course, they would burn out once a year. No regular header gasket would seal. I'm looking forward to trying the copper style this time around. Btw, copper gaskets worked great on the collectors and I never had to replace them. Keep in mind that this was on a daily driver, summer and winter.

In case they leak I know that the T t.i. gaskets are really good and so are the Fel-Pro 1413 when it comes to not blowing out like the classic white ones do sometimes.

I always rtv too.

Nice headers, congrats.

Thanks! I'll definitely keep that in mind. I don't think I've ever had a set of headers since 1982 when I first started hot rodding that didn't leak, collector point in the wrong direction, have be dinged to fit or rust out somewhere over time... I just expect it and I'll deal with it. I always called it "The Price for High Performance". Hopefully these will give me less of an issue than most. I'm going on 56 years old and this is it, that last hot rod.

Doug's header flanges are usually pretty true these days, I would lay a straight edge them tho.
The Doug's header gaskets are fine, I haven't replaced one in a few years .

TTI has been the pinnacle of production shop headers but I have been annoyed for some time at their pricing.
Yeah, I know that they are made in America. That means that they will cost more.
What gets to me is that many of their products are from patterns that they developed LONG ago.

Miked out the collector flanges and in my line of work, .0002' is a big deal, but that's building 10 ton machines that are expected to punch out 450 cans a minute all day, every day and the crank runs 1100 to 1200 psi, no ****.

So I need to calm down regarding this stuff. Anyway, I got .400 as an average for the exit collector flange and .305 for the given collector flange, very nice.

Just for fun, I mocked them up on the drivers side. Doesn't look any oil pan I run will have an issue. Stock K-member is hard to say.

That 8qt, in a Duster, was an issue. Hell, I had to notch my K... The only difference, I was told , the Patriots are Mexican. Still, killer , well built headers. Ps, yers are Sweet!

Next purchase will be a QA1 k Member while I pull the existing rats net out with the broken B@M shifter...... Literally wrecked shifter..... does not give me good vibes.

Time will tell right? So far, the pan is really a great design, it keeps the oil down below and has 3 trap doors to keep it under the pump. Leak testing in the 'morrow with diesel fuel.
