I was just surfing the net checking out some Nirvana stuff, and came across an article that mentioned his 2 cars. Most fans know that Kurt drove a mid 1980's Volvo do to his fear of getting injured in a car accident because they were rated as very safe cars. But the other car he drove to my surprise was a mid 1970's Plymouth Valiant! I looked on Google to see if there were any pics of the two cars to post here but could not find any. Woulda been interesting to see what model of Valiant he had.

Thought there might be a few Nirvana fans that would find that info interesting enjoy!

Come as you are... I went to Aberdeen WA years ago & my friend bought a 71' Charger! Can you say rotten! FE5 383 auto spoiler car, someone resto'd it after we brought it home...

Am goin for a ride in my friends mid 70s Valiant to go look @ new Challys today, I will ask if he knows the history on the car, MAYBE ITS KURTS!?!

Cheers to Kurt & his old Mope!

i was a huge nirvana fan in highschool. i had a bunch of magazines with articles about kurt after his suicide. i remember reading one that said kurt lived in his valiant for a while. too bad he didnt have a wagon.. the extra space would have been nice.

ahh here it is.

"From age 17 onward, he was often homeless. Two weeks before the release of Nirvana's second album, "Nevermind," which sold ten million units, the 24-year-old was sleeping in the backseat of his Plymouth Valiant."

theres speculation that kurt didn't commit suicide but was helped out of this world by someone very close to him.

If you believe that you have problems.

I saw them live a bunch of times during the grunge days and they weren't that great live. Other than Dave Grohl and Dale Crover Nirvana didn't have that much talent. Even years after he blew off his drugged out head there were people wearing smelly sweaters at the 5 point bar crying about Kurt.
If you like Nirvana check out the Melvins or anything the King Buzzo plays in, Buzzo pretty much started Nirvana.

J.R. not trying to start a fight, but that is the most incorrect statement I have seen on FABO in ages.

I believe as a songwriter Kurt was one of the most talented of the era. Sure his voice and guitar playing were nothing spectacular, but the songs are legendary and timeless.

As soon as I hear a Nirvana song on the radio, I switch stations. Could never stand them way back then or now. Suicide.... it's the pussy's way out. Good riddance and how are things in hell?

I saw the Melvins in 97 with Helmet at the Roseland Theatre in Portland ,Oregon and I hung out with Buzz "in the box" for a bit after the show .To tell you the truth, the Melvins kind of sucked live, just a lot of just feedback noise bullshit and some moron in a bunny suit jumping around wishing he ws in the band for long periods of time. I actually own and like the album "Stoner Witch though. Helmet was awesome they played a nonstop set and then 2 encores. Helmet was probably one of the best live bands I've ever seen as well plus they've been a favorite of mine since high school(damn has it really been 18 years?).I met Page Hamilton after that show also, he was a very nice guy and was really down to earth. John Stanier was amazing on drums. $14.00 tickets and standing room only woohooo!

Glad that freaking whiner is not whinin anymore, sorry, never liked his freaking whiny *** voice nor his heroine addict, bag of vomit Wife Courtney Love.

Thanks to him, whiner rock started, and no wonder all these teenage idiots are so miserable with life.

haha, guess i'm a whiner, but I listen to a large variety of rock, actually Nirvana is the only band from that genre I like, I dont think he is a god like so many people treat him but there was a few good songs. Guy definitly had some mental issues. Hell its better than all the gangster rap bs that every other kid listens to.

You know before you start bashing someone. They may have have relatives
on here.
They may not be close relatives. But if it was a relative of yours I bet it would make you a little pi$$ed.
Enough said!

If that is the case that person needs to realize that the person we are talking about put himself into the public eye and there for will be talked about by people that liked the crap he played and by people that didn't like the crap he played for years and years and years.
If there was a relative of someone on this forum...ok whatever...I still think your 3rd cousins music sucked, he was a crappy live performer (when he even showed up to the show), I'm not a fan of his lyrics, or a fan of junkie losers that try to swallow bullets.

JR I 'm not going to get into an argument with you.
I didn't care much for his music either but there are people who don't like Bach or the Beatles either. As for the drugs yes he had a big problem so do a lot of other people.

They have problems with drugs, booze or psychological problems.
People in the public eye all have problems just read the tabloids.

Did you ever meet him face to face if you did you have one up on me.

He had one good thing about him he Liked Mopars.

OH he probably liked bacon too!:-D

I still like Nirvana, those were my high school days, but I do like a lot of different kinds of music except "Country/Pop" (every man has his limits).

WOW! LOL Didn't think this thread would turn into a debate about Nirvana's talent or Kurt's life choices when I wrote it. But screw it, I'll add to it since once apon a time I was a HUGE Nirvana fan.

1) Kurt was quite the talented songwriter whether you liked his voice or not. (I know cause I've been a musician for 14 years)

2) Kurt started to take ****** to calm his (still to this day undiagnosed) stomach alsers because nothing doctors perscribed worked do to their lack of knowing what was wrong.

3) There is a large amount of evidence that Kurt did NOT comit suicide and that he WAS murdered. So much so that there has been talk about and official re-opening of his case. Though I doubt that will ever happen. I myself am on the fence about what really happened cause both are quite plausable in my mind.

Thats my piece in the never ending pointless debate on Kurt and Nirvana. Thanks you for reading lol.

Oh and for any fans of Kurt, I recomend you rent the movie "Last Days". It's a great unofficial interpratation on what Kurt could have been doing and experiencing during the last day of his life.

One could easily argue that experimenting with drugs on that level, a person knowingly takes the risk of killing ones self from the drug or from the mental health that comes from doing the drug. If you think just because someone dies from a drug or shotgun that they are crap, then I hope you dont like the multitude of musical talent that drugs and mental health has killed....oh and BTW alcohol is a drug. It takes a lot of sadness and feelings of having no way out to pull the trigger on yourself. You are lucky that depression hasnt affected you this way. Remember, before you say that you have been clinically depressed and went into a hospital and beat depression but you live with it everyday and on and on and on......you, are still alive. And thank goodness, because our day would not be the same without you rattling on some negative shite about how you dislike someone.

I, obviously like Nirvana. Mic drop.

Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly
Go to a lake of fire and fry
See 'em again 'til the Fourth of July
