No Decent A Bodies

I tried posting a want ad but for some reason it wouldn't let me.
Sounds like you need to try again. Start a wanted ad in the "Cars and Mopar Parts Wanted forum" Read and follow the sale rules there and you should be on the hunt.

11 yrs ago, I found my 70 Dart in Nevada. 3000 miles from my home in Fl.
I looked all over the southeast for a truly rust free Dart, for 3 years.
/6, ps, manual discs, sway bar, with fresh paint , and headliner.

$3500, drove it home.
I couldnt touch it now for less 7k
Be patient

A guy near me has an all original rust-free 74 Duster 318, auto on column, dark brown with white stripes and white vinyl top with parchment bench seat interior with fold-down rear and rallye rims. His grandmother or great aunt bought it new. Just over 30,000 miles. It always garaged and very rarely driven. I’ve drooled on it though. They’re definitely out there.

Not a A Body but this Aspen really trips my trigger. Always liked these.

So not a investment wizard but.... If I put $1k in the S&P 500 in 1980 it would be worth $125,443.64 now*. So, cars are not the greatest investment, but have gone up, and there are no new '69s being made. The demand and the fixed supply are the variables and so drive the price.

Many underestimate the cost to restore a project and are reluctant to pay for a properly done car that the builder likely is upside down on at the offered price. In my experience with collectables, buy the nicest you can afford.

Finally got my garage finished and will start the teardown of 69 barracuda fastback , I will post some pictures soon , it's a 318 auto with console that I have almost all the pieces to to turn it into a 4 speed with a 340 , picked it up in md for 4500 on facebook , the plan was to build a garage and then find a car but it went in reverse , I saw the ad 1 day after it was posted sent him a message and picked it up 2 days later , if you really want one you have to keep looking and as soon as you find it buy it or someone else will , I know I need rockers and a torque box or maybe replacement frame section and 1 inner fender or patch work won't know anything else until I get it soda blasted , picked up 2 mint doors in indiana , 18 hour 1000 mile day ,motor in ohio ,transmission another trip to ohio , make no mistake you have to look keep looking and look some more but they are still out there , I spent many weeks several hours a day looking at all the available websites so if you aren't ready to do that then no you won't get it.

Since you want a nice, rust-free car with AC that is done, my question would be what are you willing to pay? That will determine what you can get. If your expectations are higher than your budget, you may be disappointed.
