Redfish was a little vague. There have been a couple of threads with people "thinking" about selling their cars because of gas prices. And some other people exploring the idea of a smaller motor for better fuel economy.
Maybe the 273 will gain some value now?
 
Don’t know about many of you, but I can cut back on my driving in order to not use so much fuel and still enjoy my car (already have with covid). With higher prices all around that will be much easier than cutting my grocery and heating bill in half. I made it through the ‘70s gas crunch and still kept my Charger 383 magnum. We all will make it !!
But need to keep in mind that ‘when things are good they may never get better, but when things are bad they can always get worse’.

Ill take a 67 Beetle with a retrofitted big engine out of a VW bus...:)

i dunno I have a sghort bit of work to finish my car, I want to get it done and if the gas is spendy ill keep some in it to run it once in a while and Ill just pull it out of the garage and wax it like Clint Eastwood in gran Torino...:)

If anything we should be taking the time to enjoy our cars right now because nothing last forever. I'm talking it one tank at a time.

More than a little vague, it made no sense at all. If somebody lives near him and knows him, they might want to check up on him. I was slightly troubled by his post.

I used to sit on a marble bench, donated to the Ronnie's Tomb, right next to Steve Gaines and his Sister Cassie... it was from Charlie Daniels, and had the first verse of " Million mile Reflections ".... I was in my teens, circa, mid 80s

This is true, if you keep about your business, that pizzez them off more than anything, when you show no concern when somone is beotching about the price of gas, and you fire up your V-8 and pull out anyway...but then they make it about what you are doing to them "polluting the air so I/we cant breathe".. etc. :)
