Stop in for a cup of coffee

First test I had to take, just to see my GP, the nurse practitioner came outside in a hazmat suit with a Q-Tip as long as my forearm and attempted to do a frontal lobotomy on me  It was a week before they had the results.
Yep. Near the beginning of this mess, I mistakenly went to an urgent care that was a ‘covid test center’ to get looked at for something else. They had a separate ‘clean area’ for non covid patients, but still looked like hazmat responders.

They gotta try to stop it incoming. But like most bugs, if someone just caught it the test won’t pick it up. And by the time symptoms show it’s too late. So this thing will go on indefinitely. It’s like trying to stop the cold or flu from spreading. The best you can do is take steps ti sliw it down.

Like so many others, bout the best that can be hoped for is treating the symptoms :BangHead:

Finally getting some more boards replaced on deck. F'n hot out though. Cool down break now. Also waiting for Lowes to deliver tub and shower surround panels. I guess they found them after they had changed status to 'delayed' the other day. Supposed to be between 12 and 4... Once I have that and make sure it's not damaged, I will get everything else needed and hope to install next weekend.

This is gonna be fun. All good on delivery. So, phase 2 begins…

Happy with their delivery. 2 guys with a lift gate. No problems, waited for me to open and inspect... But gonna have to call :bs_flag: on their tracking. I had looked online and it said '7 stops away'. Checked at my phone and had voice message they were on the way to my place next. Showed up like 10 min later. OK, so it takes a while to update....
Came in for another break just now and screen was open, so i refreshed - still '7 stops away' lol, I'm guessing that message goes on when the trucks leave and just tells me I am the 7th stop of the day.

So. I bought an 80 something lebaron,318. A/c and cruise. Front end and powertrain for next build. A proper engine stand. Some a body parts. Wiring harnes, trim rings. Said pick through the cars and take what i want. Cool.

Been going all day prepping, staining, vanishing, washing/cleaning screens, cleaning and scraping excess varnish off the windows, and putting the double windows back in.
Yes, it's time consuming but badly needed to be done. I did the west windows first they were the worse.
Six windows (three each) in the office and dining room are eight footers with three foot second windows above. Double work.
The rest of them about 20 shouldn't take too much time.
Oh well now enjoying my favorite adult beverage and watching some PGA golf.
Enjoy your evening!!

I have come to the conclusion that I needed a racing fix in the near future, so I checked the nearby track schedules. Door slammers on dirt at Bakersfield Speedway or flat track motorcicles on dirt at KCRP 20 miles closer. Motorcicles it is :D. Then something said "do the math" so I checked my money clip, ok , trip to the bank needed, calculate cost of the trip, trip to the bank cancelled along with the 240 mile round trip to the motorcicle races :BangHead:. Not that I don't have it to spend, just couldn't justify $150 to get dirt thrown at me, a bad hamburger at the track, and 1 beer . Logic sucks!

It’s all Willie’s fault! Got a mixed 6 of all IPA’s from Giant grocery. Nothing to hard core, but I think all are 7ish on the ABV. Starting with the Nugget Nectar now.

Of the 7 boards I had pulled up previously, 3 were still pretty good. So moved them forward and put 4 new together. Probably replace all to the corner on grill side. Think I have 5 left, so at least want to get them in. I did see on last Home Depot visit they were down another buck per board, so could influence how much I get done this year. But at this point the bathroom is priority…

Bushings in... wheel wells painted.

Shoutout to @halifaxhops for recommending the Mancini Racing front end tool kit and to Jim Lusk for his YouTube video on bushing replacement.

Been a long *** day. At drill, base got hit my a tornado right down the same path as 2008’s. Straight line winds though stretching near 60 miles. No idea how I’m getting home. Roads blocked with debris everywhere
