Looks as though the market for older cars is drying up. I've been looking for a non project car such as a 1968-1972 dart, 1970-1974 duster, 1971-1973 scamp for about 2 years now and nothing. I'm not wanting a 340 car or a limited edition, just a clean rust free car with a V/8, at, ps, and ac.

This guy is delusional and has been whining in multiple posts about not being able to find a car......His post should probably read something more like this......I'm a broke *** and not competent enough to work on a car but I'm really wanting a clean, rust free running and driving 2 door classic Mopar for free and also if it wouldn't be too much to ask could it be from someone within a 3 mile radius of myself who is capable of working on it so that you can donate all your labor and parts for free over the time that I own it........There I fixed it for him.

Depends on your price point. The market is silly right now. Deals, I'm sure you've noticed, are not to be found on the web but locally.

Good luck

Freakin A my man!

Dan, ‘68cuda418 nailed it with a bug *** hammer so hard he drive the 10 inch railroad spike straight through the wood down to popping up in China.

I can work on cars just fine,if you've been keeping up with my post. I don't expect to get it for free but I don't want one that needs body and paint work and I made that clear, so take your negative comments elsewhere

The OP needs realistically 25k minimum to truly find and buy what his description says he is looking for because a rust free car in my opinion means rust free like never ever had any rust versus some people's description of rust free is that it had rust and rot even but I filled all that **** up with bondo and spray canned some new paint on over the top and so BOOLYAHHHHH now it's rust free......LOL

I figured 25k. But still nothing

I'm not all that far from you.... Come on up and I'll send you home in a '64 Rambler. Not a two door, not a V8, no A/C, not completely rust free, but it should take you home and you might like the price .... :)

Nobody can say there aren't affordable classic cars..... you have to look where your wallet says you can look :D

That's what I've heard. But haven't seen any.
haven't seen any
Because they are all gone, my advice is to get ahead of the curve and get one of the 'Next' hot cars.
I am speaking of the 1987 to 1994 Dodge Shadow or 1989 to 1995 Dodge Spirit. Everything I have been reading points to towards these cars just skyrocketing in collector car value. Just check one out. Great body lines, memorable performance and best of all still available. If you look hard enough.
Everything points to: AMD soon to have body panels available, Year One doing a complete line of accessories and Mopar Performance releasing a catalog of performance parts. Yep, a Shadow or a Spirt is what you need to be looking for.
The rumor here at FABO is that Joey is working up a new forum dedicated to those cars to catch the trend of the collectability of the Dodge Shadow and Dodge Spirt.
He has already picked out a catchy name. Using the first two letters of Shadow and the last two letters of Spirit. The name of the forum will be
'For **** Cars Only"
Dude, this is the direction you need to go in.

You need to broaden your search then because it was just a couple months ago that an original paint, although what you would expect for scratches, nicks and a ding here and there, '68 GTS was sold on Cars On Line for 22k......I actually watched the You Tube video of that car when they bought it from the prior owner who had it in his garage for something like 28 years on blocks and the new owners said they weren't going to sell it but of course for whatever reason changed their mind and I would have bought it for that money had I known but when I saw it listed it was already sold.

I ain't even looking and I see em. It just ain't like it was 20 years ago

i think he lives across the river from me. i just looked on fakebook and typed in 1967-1972 dodge and plymouth. there are some real nice, some real expensive, some not too bad in price and that are decent from the pics posted of them. not all in his back yard but he might have to travel a few states away. seems like he said in one of his earlier posts, that he could or would not drive too far. i have been looking at search tempest, going out up to 750 miles from me, to see what is out there. he just needs to make up his mind and go get one. about half are in his projected budget. some need a few things but are still drivable while working on them. all depends on what he can/can not do.

Find a patina /6 car for under 10K and for the other 15K that you are willing to spend, have someone put in a drivetrain.
