Stop in for a cup of coffee

So my AC condenser on Diesel has a leak on end where a bracket attaches right to the thin end tube. Question to the wealth of knowledge and experience here, has anyone ever had any luck heliarcing the thin aluminum tubes for a repair? I think I am going to make a run at it since I don’t want to buy a condenser, they are not cheap!
I would price one out before putting in any time.

So, change of plans. Step dad is in bad shape and doesn't want company, so we will be home. Sigh. Respect wishes

The Guard is doing Evacs there . Hope he’s ok. I’m actually not on standby for once for that.
Actually, I called him after I posted that. He's doing fine. All of his 4 properties are up higher. But he said it was pretty bad in Town....

Good to hear! Flash floods suck almost as bad as wildfires

Hmmmm... I like the idea of that but concerned that it'll dislodge something and gum up the whole works.

Automatic transmissions are like black magic for me. I better understand Radio Frequency propagation.
very well could contaminated or block an orphas tube.. hmmm. It being on the high pressure side its going to be a miracle I believe

Is yours the bottom coils of an old radiator? I know the trans shop did mine on a flush machine. Backflush first, but I think they run both ways a couple times. Much better than anything I could do DIY. The lines I just blast air through before installing. I rebuilt my trans, and new torque converter so nothing to flush there.

Interesting that at cold start up everything was slack... Nothing happening with either Park or Shift. Once warmed up and fluid level topped up it took some time before it started to react to Park disengagement and drive gear engagement (forward or reverse) as if it had to build up pressure within the system.

Could the fluid I'm using be a cause of issue?

Yes, cooler routes into the bottom of the radiator. Radiator was reconditioned and installed in 2005

There's a guy up your way with a 904 out-of-car ... unknown functionality... for $100 maybe a candidate to do a rebuild on (???) I have ZERO idea what I'm doing so I may be talking crazy.

Is that trans special for the pushbutton? Or will any 904 from a slanty work?

I read a bunch on flushing and there seemed to be a bit of disagreement on the value or potential impact of that... so decided to not do that at this point. I'll see if the issue persists after I change the filter and adjust the Park cable
Flushing cooler only is never a bad thing. Flushing transmission on the other hand is questionable at best. New filter and fresh fluid, im all about that..

Was just doing some more reading... seems like the thing that creates some question is high pressure flush versus using the transmission itself and just cycling through fresh fluid... In through the dipstick spout and out through the trans cooler line.

If it’s a pushbutton, it mostly uses parts unique to the pushbutton. There’s few items that interchange

Is it a pushbutton

I think i might be playing instead of working. Moved the ramp, decided to test it.

Ya,does it use a u-joint or that ball and trunnion setup?
I have a cable shift ball and trunnion here, no use for it, condition unknown. But it was 65 barracuda floor shift.
Depends.
