Hello FABO,

Hoping to get some help confirming that I have a 1963 Dart rear window.

Previous owner pulled the window, and marked it. I have a spare 64-66 window to compare it to. (See pictures). The tinted window is the later one.

The markings show on AS2 82. As far as I can tell, that’s not necessarily enough to make a determination.

The window is about 42.25” wide at the top, and 48.25” at the bottom. Approx 18.75” tall. Happy to take any additional measurements that might help in the process.

I did check the parts catalog, and found part number 23-64-314. Not seeing anything similar on the window itself though.

1963 window is definitely a smaller window. I remember seeing a 1963 Dart parts car and was amazed how different the window compared to my 64 Dart

I can measure the opening of my 63 when I get home. I have the rear glass out but it is still packed in a wooden crate from when I had it shipped from texas.

Something, however doesn't look right between the 2. The 63 glass has a smaller opening so it should be shorter in height. It should also be narrower. Other than that the shape should be pretty close to the same I would think as the 64 is bigger but follows the same roof line.

Either way, I will let you know what mine measures out to be.

It's not just smaller, it's also almost FLAT compared to other early A bodies. It does not "wrap around" like the others do.

Appreciate it!

Just took some measurements. From pinch weld to pinch weld about 43" at top, 48 3/4 at bottom and 19 1/8 high. Take away for the rubber seal and your glass looks right for a 63 Dart

That's not a part number, that's a part type identification code. That same code, 23-64-314, is for the backglass on all the different cars. You page past the illustrations to find the part number listings, and look under that type code to find the part numbers for the backglasses for all the various cars.

The markings show on AS2 82
AS2 indicates tempered safety glass (AS-1 means laminated). 82 is not a meaningful code.

Well shoot. Missed that by a long shot. Thanks, Dan.
