Stop in for a cup of coffee

So cruising thru the plant getting ready for a plant tour and find one of my guys box’s flung open. Reckon that is about as straightforward as it gets. Note to self make sure box is closed prior to the tour. Mechanics are mechanics.

wondering if I shouldn't just pull the engine while I have the transmission out replace major gaskets (there's some minor head gasket seepage) and clean/ paint everything

If you are going to do that, may as well drop a V-8 in it then.... :D :poke:

Our last day here today in the 90's 80's the rest of the week.
Been a hotter than usual summer and I'm glad it's almost over.
Send those old Hot Wheels to Pete for his collection.

We're nice and cool since yesterday...

You all can eat your hearts out...

. Every time I look up Jodi is throwing something I wanted to keep away.

My ex used to throw some of my stuff away...

I don't have that problem anymore after putting the 'ex' in front of her name... :D

I guess you can say that I threw her out, like she did my stuff....

Yeah.... this driving season is kinda torched. Partially my own fault. I procrastinated on some of the bigger work doing too much research and then having to do things over (sometimes 2 or 3 times)

The next meeting of procrastinators anonymous has been cancelled... :D

We will get back to you when we get around to rescheduling it....

Computer might freak out.
No. Wheel speed sensors are in wheel hubs. Unless its awd and has no 2wd setting. But its a pickup. It wont know axles are missing, other than the improved fuel economy from not having to turn front diff…

We all have our own work benches in the shop. Mine is near the middle. People just gotta lay stuff there, use my chair and F'k with my stuff... :mob:
Guy worked in mercury marine dealer. Comes to work monday to find his bench covered with a disassembled powerhead. Hangs coat up, removes watch and places it in the special drawer, grabs garbage can and cleans his bench straight into can. It was the owner that left the mess. He never said boo..

this particular mechanic was one of the top 10 best mechanics across canada. Very smart man with a low tolerance for bs..

If they want you to answer your phone for them, make sure your well compensated for it. Place I retired from drove me nuts till I said I was going to start charging them.

I didn't tell my stoopidvisors I was retiring until the Friday afternoon I threw my keys on his desk. I seen how they had treated other people that had made the 2 week notice mistake in the past. "You know my address. You can mail my last paycheck."

Progress is slow today. Cleaning shop. Scrap out, empty boxes to burning pile. Used oil containers out. Relocated drill press and next is attacking the pile of steel and sheet metal cutoffs i save..organize it. I have a welding bench i would like to bring back in. But its buried in quonset. Im sure not wanting to take on any work at the moment. Grass is almost dry enough to cut.

When I retired from the Service my gift to the unit was telling the command that I did not want a formal ceremony and force the guys to stand in the sun.

C.O. said that "We have to do something"

So I requested the Commander and Sergeant Major have a beer with me at the bowling alley.

Depends what it is. I either throw away or export to somewhere it won't get lost (or found) :D

Looking over the large waiting room, most are or look 10 years and more older then me, I guess thats s good sign :)
Think I will go have a good summer salad and beer after they get done with me here.

Still far from 'organized' but I made significant progress cleaning in my garage Saturday.

I was just out and cut up a pile of small stuff and moved it away from the main pile the guys are coming to split up tomorrow. Also, decided I want to keep these 2 Cherry logs. Been laying there quite a while and I thought they might be too far gone, but a quick slice looks good. Not sure what I will do with them.

LMAO It's only been a few months and brother in law Tim is already playing games with the farm profits. THey need to put it up for sale and call it done. I like Tim but I sure don't trust him when it comes to business dealings.
