Stop in for a cup of coffee

Daughters El Camino had problems again, stalled at Deception Pass fortunately only 10 miles away. Was flooding, adjusted float drove 1 mile and stalled again. That's when I snapped off the carb stud so glad I brough safety wire lol! Ended up stalling again and she had it towed home (second time). I pulled the primary float adjuster and cleaned things out, new Holley, adjusted level and ran great on 5 mile test drive, expect I didn't fix anything again.

Winch repair didn't go much better, pulled all solenoids expecting two bad ones, all tested good. Controller toggle seems to have fried, doesn't show a close across either "in" or "out". Put it back together and waiting on new winch controller.

Hey here’s an idea.

so @Mopar Tim and I are doing Hot Rod Power Tour next summer. One of the tour’s traditions is passing out Hot Wheels to any kids along the route. Kind of the whole start the next generation of car addicted kids thing to carry the torch haha.

anyway, if you like this idea, you can send them to me, I’ll toss the box in my storage shed and then we’ll pass them out next summer on the tour!

Good morning everyone, looks like the last 90 degree day is here, Tuesday and the rest of the week stays in the 80es.
Hay @FISHYPETE , I have a giant sleeve of hot wheels that has never been opened, 1999. I picked them up at a flea market for 5 dollars, yours if you collect them this age, @Ben Drinkin , nice of you to offer yours up brother, hope the move goes smoothly, I hope I never ever move again

BTW: been working my way through the Victoria thread.... wondering if I shouldn't just pull the engine while I have the transmission out replace major gaskets (there's some minor head gasket seepage) and clean/ paint everything
 
Great to hear from BD he is now officially an Okie! And close enough to us that I could foresee some problems! Hah! My last day is Sept 1 and I am retired as well. We too are doing the move thing and what a royal pita. Every time I look up Jodi is throwing something I wanted to keep away.

Our last day here today in the 90's 80's the rest of the week.
Been a hotter than usual summer and I'm glad it's almost over.
Send those old Hot Wheels to Pete for his collection.

Looks nice outside, weather forecast is thunderstorms. Would like to get some grass cut before i start cranking wrenches..
Seems like lots of work will be rolling in. Dammit..
