Well, here's our barrel pick. Dark rich mahogany color. This photo was taken by a member of my group. He said he liked it well and drinks smoother than a 120 proof. I haven't uncorked my bottle yet. Let me get over the Creepin' Crud first.

So, once again it is that time of year when the Octoberfest beers are rolling out. (I've already had 4 different). Last year I got some incredibly cheap at under $8 for a 12 pack - Genny Octoberfest Lager. It was actually really good! So yesterday I got some. This batch would be good...- IF IT WAS LABELED 'SELTZER WATER'!

There Is a car show in town tomorrow from 11 to 2. I'm contemplating actually registering after putting the dart back on the street! Idk why lol. I usually just park across the street bc I know I will make one lap and be bored!
Wife also registered for a craft show at the same park. So may kill 2 birds with 1 stone!
I'm there with you. I haven't ben to a show since Mopars in the Park in May. Stuff has come up and I have lost my Mopar Mojo I guess.
Only show I got to was Carlisle
Went to grab a bite to eat at a nearby historic Tavern. Turns out there's some sort of local festival, live band and limited menu (food and bar). Oh well, guess it's a seat on the patio listening to a cover band for the evening.

Well a couple buddies showed up to toast my departure. Captured picture of first bottle kill, but somehow did not think to capture second one? The chuckle heads did manage to break five of my good glasses and both of them puked all over my driveway. Arghh. I guess five broken glasses may be a new record. Amateurs! Should have gave them a red solo cup!

As I explore and learn more it never ceases to amaze me the totally different flavor profiles the same brand can have batch to batch. I had no idea! Thanks TMM for the introduction to the concept and art of whiskey tasting, ya ruined me!
What a way to go!
Last months meeting. This is how we get it done.
Since my IPA trials this Summer resulted in finding many I actually liked, I thought maybe I would give Pumkin brews a second chance. I do like pumpkin pie, cakes, seeds etc... First (and maybe only one) is a total FAIL! I picked up a variety 12pack of Sam Adams with 3 Pumpkin Ales in it. Had one last night. It was not bad going down, but hours later I still had a taste of it in my mouth like I had eaten raw pumpkin. Gross! 2 more in the fridge will probably be there till someone else drinks them.
