Stop in for a drink.

Since my IPA trials this Summer resulted in finding many I actually liked, I thought maybe I would give Pumkin brews a second chance. I do like pumpkin pie, cakes, seeds etc... First (and maybe only one) is a total FAIL! I picked up a variety 12pack of Sam Adams with 3 Pumpkin Ales in it. Had one last night. It was not bad going down, but hours later I still had a taste of it in my mouth like I had eaten raw pumpkin. Gross! 2 more in the fridge will probably be there till someone else drinks them.

LoL...

We are going to Textile Brewing this afternoon for their Octoberfest releases. It should be a hoot. And the giant pretzels and flatbread are delicious..

Years ago Blue Moon was very popular around here. They sold a bunch of it at the track. Always had the nice little lime wedge stuck on the gypo plastic cup . At a car show in the neighboring village there was a Bud vendor trailer, I was thirsty. Something in Bud does not agree with me, 2 sips=instant headache so I chose the Blue Moon. "Do you have any lime slices?" I ask. "Sorry, but we don't." One sip of the Blue Moon and I knew why they added the lime. It tasted like the green waste dumpster behind Albertson's Market smelled

Oh kewl....

How long before that is ready?
It will ferment for a week give or take a few days and then I will bottle it so it can condition (carbonate). It should be ready to drink the middle of October. The longer it sets the better. I have some Stout from 2 years ago that is still damn tasty.
