Finally found my promatic for a great deal! It’s from 1998 all original in the box.

Flip top. Cardboard template to locate the holes. I used three factory holes in the fender, and 1 factory hole from the flip top. Drilled two holes in the cap and three in the adapter. I like it.

It was all going good until a shackle bolt snapped on final torque. At least the springs and shocks are in. I didn’t order new shackles on purpose, I planned to run an offset shackle on the upgraded rear end. So much for that.

My Christmas haul from the wife and kids. Also got a 3/8 sending unit from my brother and my Mom got me new master to prop valve lines so I can mount the lightweight master from Dr Diff.

Our condolences from up here. I lost my Dad, still hurts every once in a while. I've always said the irony with the hurt is that we were lucky having parents we did.
Strength and positive thoughts to you and your family.

Thank you, it’s truly appreciated. I’m sorry you lost your Dad, this pain is almost unbearable at times.

Life is precious and the ones who love us deserve the most from us. I just don’t have enough spare money to make this project happen, so it’s been taking a lot of my time instead.

My Dad was 34 when I was born, my age now. That is not a lot of time, and while I will do everything in my power to live much longer, there are no guarantees.

Here is to good health, to you and yours, and the rest of FABO.

If you still have your Dad, reach out to him. Even if your relationship isn’t perfect, ours wasn’t, you will wish you did.

Thank you, I always noticed you and a few others following along and cheering me on. It definitely made it more fun for me.

As a side note I will be moving to the Woodland CA area after my baby is born, so maybe I’ll see you around.

Jared

My condolences to you and your family. Wise words of wisdom spoken about reaching out - be it fathers or ither family. My father is about to turn 90 and I cherish him every day. I pray you can be strong through this anguish and sorrow.

Family is the most important thing on earth. Thank you for your kind words.

False alarm, I’ve got too much invested emotionally to walk away. I have to hear it run. No longer for sale. Thanks again for the condolences. But I’ll be doing burn outs big enough for my Dad to see in Heaven.

My condolences on the loss of your father. Will be praying for yall. Glad you've made the decision to keep the car. It will be an enormous sense of accomplishment.

Long overdue update: We are going 4 speed. I got a 1:1 A833 from a 73 340 car, and I just put the Mr Gasket short shifter on. I’m still on the hunt for a bellhousing but I think I have everything else for the swap.

The new baby is here and the dust is settling, hopefully I can get some good late night sessions in on the Midnight Swinger.

New @DoctorDiff master cylinder and inline tube lines installed with the 4 speed pedals from @MOPARMAGA, they fit the project perfectly, not even going to paint them.

had to fight the spring on the pedals. It’s the HD spring too, heavy motherfucker.

Then the adjustable brake master pushrod needed to be polished to slip on the brake pedal bolt. Works great after that, very solid piece.

I still need to bleed the brakes but I have solid pressure.

Trying to secure a bellhousing and hydraulic throw out bearing and I’ll be able to bolt everything in. Getting close.

Getting it done.
I'm glad for you. My pile is still a pile lol.
My wife is so freaking demanding of my time on the weekends.

That does look like a ***** of a spring. Is that for the clutch pedal?
Yeah the 340 and bigger hipo motors got an extra support and big *** spring. I am going hydraulic, so I don’t need the spring, but I’m keeping the extra support installed.

Yeah I try not to do too much during the day on the weekends mopar wise, focus on the family. Hence 9pm pots of coffee and 3 am bed times!
