i dont know, i dont really like watching itThey have a great Youtube channel. It's addicting. Some of the cars they feature, it's amazing they made it to the shop.
Bitchin is what people do, bitchin and not knowing anything about what they're bitchin about is what gets me.People are generally stupid and cheap... this is why the mechanic business sucks really. i used to say "you can do it for them for free and they will still complain"
they complain because they either want a discoun t or ant it for free. I saw a couple complaining at a Wal mart tire center that their check engine light was on after the feller mounted and balanced 4 tires...he was there alone ,no manager but handled it well. the last thing they said was "so you arenot going to do anything about it then...?" he said"no I had nothing to do with that all I did was install the tires..."Bitchin is what people do, bitchin and not knowing anything about what they're bitchin about is what gets me.
Ever hear the one abou tthe old man calls the shop says "the engine is missing" shpo sys bring it in well take a look" I cant the engine is missing.. its not there..." back in the day when people stole engines in the middle of the night .
not too long ago i had to buy the wife a new carReminds me of a story about selling my motorcycle. Studied the market and decided that $1800 was what I wanted for it. When I placed my ads I put $1800 solid. So this guy came down looked at the bike, took it for a ride and said l’ll give you $1750. I said no $1800, he said oh come on what’s 50 bucks. I said 50 bucks doesn’t mean anything then the price is $1850. He said ok I’ll give you $1800. I said no $1850. He got mad and left. 20 minutes later another fellow came looked said I’ll take it and peeled off 18 crisp $100 bills a said thank you very much
no, correctBut you didn’t tell him what’s 500 bucks like it was nothing. I mean we all try to get the best deal possible, but don’t stand there and tell me $50 doesn’t mean anything. Better in my pocket than yours.
A guy has to research what he is shopping for and be able to spot a quality item for a reasonable price. If what I’m buying is a quality piece I have no problem paying top dollar for it. But research is the key.no, correct
and there have been plenty of times where i told the person straight up "you're asking a fair price, so im not even gonna try"
usually, i know what something is worth, and what i am willing to spend, if the asking price is below BOTH those numbers, ill gladly pay it
wow i never seem that beforeI’m still in the trade and I have quite a few of these wtf images saved on my devices. Had this one on hand. This was a 2017 Ram driven by a 20 year old kid. He thought he was more than qualified to wire up a light bar on his roll bar. No relay, no fuse, just a rats nest of wires bundled under hood. This pic is of the shorted power wire he had ran under the truck. Notice how it melted through the plastic fuel tank RJ

Just blew out my snowblower carb didn’t know that they use a rubber seat under needle. Never saw it go flying. Googled it found out what happened $40 for a carb kit. Anyway this thing is smallert than the-size of a Holley jet. Was sweeping the floor and found it. WtfI worked on a lawnmower that rattled and wouldn't run. 22 caliber bullet in the tank and matching hole.
One customer's chainsaw had bar lube in the fuel tank and fuel in the bar lube tank. Oddly it almost ran.
