Stop in for a cup of coffee

We also used ground rods on all of our containers at the farm. Each farm had one, they worked great for storage office space and break rooms. By same token we converted school buses into rolling lunch rooms complete with generator and porta pot. We did have considerable trouble with meth heads stealing out of them when parked.
A few years ago, we had a utility pole rot out from termites. On my place there is a pole that carries 12k and 220 on it. Both are non insulated. Well, the 12 k got into the 220 to the house, it melted off the ground rods, three, copper, and the ground to the water pipe. Melted off the pipe!! BUT no damage inside except one thing. A paper shredder. SDGE replaced that... Good grounds a must...

Civil War?? I was thinking the WW1 and WW2 reenactors who I don't really know much about.
For the earlier stuff, yea I think everyone has gone to reproductions for use in the field.
Apparently, for a while in the late 1960s and early 70s some CW era stuff was still available fairly cheap.

With Rev War, every now and then at an event we'ld host, someone would have a few original items - generally small things - to display or show visitors.

always looked like a black hole for money to me

Hahah.... the most expensive clothes I own I slept in the dirt wearing.

Some ancillary items I've seen originals... and I rolled with Progressive Campaigners (aka stitch counters)

$700 for a coat. $300 for trousers. Fabric proper warp and weave, correct dye loomed off of a period correct machine.

How's Simone doin now? Kitty and Have been praying for her.
OMG, she is recovering so fast! She is going on the Hot rod power tour with me, and she will be in Carlisle. She is a miracle for sure.....Thank you so much for your prayers, cant hurt!

Well, it took just over a week but i think i can drive the Studebaker into shed and back to shop now. Game changer right there! Time to clean up and move it out.

That didn't take long to wire up the column

Copper, its hard to find copper sheet up here. Should be easy though. Utility knife cuts it.

Studebaker runs and moves under its own power. Need to raise lower end uf column up a bit. The steering coupler is binding a little. Or maybe get a u-joint to replace it.
