You need to get rid of the parking brake tail stock on the trans and the exhaust manifolds will not work, there’s more to the list but I’m 100% sure other people will have their “opinion”

What did it come out of? The oil pan won't work unless it came out of a car. Some usable parts but it looks like a lot of work (and expense) to make it work.
Creativity is how it all got started not how easy or cheap it is, everything in life is or can be educational…..not everybody is content sitting on the porch.
And I’m betting it was in a motor home.

It did come out of a motorhome. I know the exhaust manifold, the trans break and oil pan gotta go. The motorhome only had 41000 miles on it. I bought it damaged by Hurricane Micheal. The car has only 80,000 miles on it. I got it from the original owner also. I have plenty of time and money to put in it.

I didnt take it as a shot. I was just stating my position on it. I appreciate all the advice. Really. Im a jeep guy and this will be only my second car build. My last was a 72 Nova. I sold it 2 weeks after it hit the road. Im gonna keep this nasty sucker. So I'm open to all the dos and don't that I'm not aware of. So again, I appreciate you responding to my cry for help.

Plan on manual steering with the big block, especially with headers. Will have to relocate the brake booster, if there, or eliminate it. What rear axle you got?

So what is it? A 440? It'll fit right in there, with all the correct accessories to match the car and whatever you decide for exhaust. There are a few styles of manifolds that will fit with some mods and of course, TTI and Schumacher headers.

Same size engine compartment as my 69 Barracuda. A 440 is not difficult to put in.

But its a tight fit, everything has to play nice.
With Schumacher Tri-ys, there is plenty of room. When I ran CPPA 2" under chassis headers, it was much tighter and the headers where a royal pain to install.

Not beating on it? A junk yard Ford 8.8.
MoPar wise, an 8-3/4 or DANA 60.
IIRC, its Moser sells both new, all new, nothing used. A little pricey, but we’ll well worth it.

An aftermarket DANA 60, Ford 9, they’ll probably be the very last rear you’ll ever put in the car.
I’m not sure how strong the Ford 8.8 is. The Chrysler 8-3/4 & 8.8 Ford will handle the 440 just fine so long as you don’t start introducing 600 ft lbs of torque and hammer the crap out of them.

Manual disc brakes work well.

Think about cutting a hole to get to certain plugs??

Rear axle? 8 3/4 of Exploder 8.8??

Keep the patina and letter it maybe "Florida RedNeck"?? I relate as I was raised in S W Ga! :poke:
 :confederateflag: :steering:
