I don't see what's so special about it, Doris Day was a person just like the rest of us. People go nuts over things when it's owned by a entertainer.

You're right, I should have. But he's just wrong. Doris was a source of hope and inspiration to millions of GIs deployed in shitholes all over the world towards the end of WWII. To me, that makes her more than "just a person like the rest of us."
Indeed she was. She was a source of "more" than hope and inspiration for lots of Hollywood fellers too.....if you know what I mean. She was supposedly quite the man eater. I wouldn't have minded findin out. LOL
She did every bit as much as Ann Margret and that's a lot. Pretty tireless and thankless job.
