Any good write ups or how tos? The guts of the drivers door on my 70 are just junk. I have some spare parts, but not really sure what it should have looked like to begin with, or how to properly assemble and adjust it. Its also been 20 years and some serious head trauma since I was in there last. So, please go easy on me.

Do you happen to have any close-ups of the vertical tracks and their mating pieces? It looks like there was some sort of rubber or felt on them at some point that is now long gone. Same with the bumpers at the top of the door that keeps the glass from rattling back and forth in the opening. Factory service manual doesn't show any of that very clearly and I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like or what I'm supposed to have

I'll grab a couple of more pics tomorrow. IIRC, There is a liner in each end of the the horizontal track that connects to the vertical tracks......I will check for sure.

The top bumpers (front and rear) are to limit the upward vertical travel of the window. The two "nipples" mounted to the glass contact them when the window is up.

The cat whiskers keep the glass from rattling inward/outward by centering it in the upper door frame.

Keep asking......I will reference anything that you need.

Sorry about the delay......I got busy with my headliner. Feel free to give me a poke if I don't reply forthwith.

As you can see, nothing in the vertical tracks (just dirt in the right side track :)). Each end of the horizontal track has the liner as shown in the pics.

Anything else, feel free to reach out.

BTW......Service manual says "lightly" lube the tracks that the plastic buttons and plastic roller ride in with Lubriplate. Nothing on the vertical tracks or the liners in the horizontal track.

I got nothing on either end of my horizontal parts.
Is that reproduced? Or do i need to fabricobble something? Don't know what to call it to google....

That's a good question. I checked our Canadian source and nothing was listed. Maybe check at your end under window hardware, window tracks etc. and see if they have anything listed there.

Found the horizontal slide end liners through Detroit muscle. They're coming.
They offered a version of the upper stops, but im not sure what they should look like to know if theirs are correct and mine are mangled pretty badly.
Have any pictures?

They are metal brackets that have a rectangular rubber boot where they contact the plastic "nipple" that is installed in the glass. The rear one is accessed with an allen key at the heels of the door through a small hole that would be under the upper door rubber. The front is accessed the with the same allen key through the forward hole under the plastic Duster logo.

I'll grab a pic this afternoon.

Glad that you could get the track lining.

Here are those pics. The top one is the front and the bottom one is the rear.
