727 Torqueflite SFI Case

I seem to remember a video or post somewhere with the bulk of that 727 case causing some fitment issues….

Funny on the 904 conversation…. My stock shaft/component 904 survived over 100 trans brake 1.2 low 1.3 launches behind my “700ish” small block. Actually I was amazed it lived as I had a few conversation with friends that had broken input/output shafts at even lower HP than I. It’s my spare now as a parts buying transaction with Chris Andrews morphed into a full build which was far from cheap, but it’s the furthest thing from my mind when I’m launching. The way I hobby race it’ll last me the rest of my racing life.

Re-cert on the CSR shield….. I’d a never put that thing in the mail in fear of it falling off the face of the earth!!!

Build them good one time and don’t look back. That’s my motto.

Thats interesting info on the 904 with a trans brake , I have always been leary about using a transbrake in a 904 . A&A has good parts they are at Carlisle every year. I like their locking dipstick and tube , the trans end has a tapered rubber seal rather than just using an O ring.

i shipped my CSR shield to them 2 years ago. being from Canada i was a bit worried but it worked out perfectly. the lady on the phone was really good to deal with.

the 904 in my car has been flawless for 4 years, 2 were using the trans brake. before i got it, it was behind a very stout 477'' W8 engine in a Daytona. he used the trans brake all the time.
i was confident it would last behind my W2 engine at 300 hp less then his engine.

Hmmm…..

I like the guys that say Mopar guys are cheap. Have you met LS guys? Anyways i have a heavy street car twin turbo deal. Goes low 8’s at about 180. Stock 727 case built by Protrans. It has hundreds of laps on it and thousands of street miles (4 dragweeks) plus hooning around town. This case would be ideal for me. I see a lot of stock/super stock guys buying them. Also a lot of tractor pullers use them and dont forget all the Cummins guys. Plenty of market for them!
