Started to prep the engine bay today and laid a little color in the jambs of stuff. Hopefully do the door jambs and bay in the next day or so.

looks too late now but when masking cables etc in the engine bay use aluminum cooking foil. it can be wrapped tightly round anything and unlike masking tape is easy to remove afterwards.
neil.
I have some for the brake master and lines, didn't figure it'd work well for the other stuff.

Jambs got a little color on them today, engine bay isn't perfect but it's meant to be a driver and not a show car.

For the 2-5 people that see this lol. Got the doors back on it and side glass in then reassembled the bay and got some SEM laid on the dash.

Yes, a few people know the color and that is it so far (won't even find color photos on my facebook). It was mostly because I wasn't even sure about it at first, now it's just fun. It's a color that sorta works with the factory gold interior (verdict is still out on that one too). Thanks!

Got a little done today. Headliner is redone (ignore the board, it is from the Dart Sport since this car had none and a new one is out of the budget for this build), got the grille redone and hung the hood/trunk plus trunk seal. Down to front and rear windows, final sand and some color on the outside toward the end of next week.

Looks very good. I was hoping you would keep it that gold but, it will look good anyway. I love Dusters, all years.

Little overkill on the cap probably but oh well lol, got it washed up and in the booth for some color tomorrow.

So basically you're telling all of us here.....that there is no color in your life when
you're around this car...IT'S SUPPOSED TO MAKE YOU HAPPY!!!!! LMAO great
job as usual.

Got a little paint laid on it today. We ready for the color? It isn't bad for $45 paint but pretty overdone on a Duster lol.

@MeMikieJr

Got them the rest of the way out and sprayed everything with rust-mort.

Got the drip rail welded in, painted the inner structure then laid some weld through primer down and fitted the roof skin. May try to start welding it back on tomorrow.

You have it on a full Gallup!! Looking great

Lookin good! Did you have to fiddle with the pinch weld of the floor pan where it meets the firewall? I've bought an AMD floor pan to put in my 70 Duster, but haven't messed with it yet.
Finally remembered to grab a photo of how that came out with welding it to the firewall flat vs the oem way. Ignore the driver side since the bottom of the firewall was rusty so needed a piece added there.
