I have a Mystery here for all of you Automotive Sleuths. This car is like a time capsule, everywhere I look. I got the left side drum off after it soaked for a while. Look what I found inside the drum when it came off? There's a nut laying in there. I immediately assumed that it was one of the nuts for the axle retainer, but they were all in place. Next thing I noticed was how the nut I found was all rounded off around the edges. The Lord only knows how long that has been in that drum rattling around. So then I took a look at the wheel cylinders. They are original Mopars. I can't see a number on the brake shoes yet. I'm beginning to wonder if that nut was left behind during assembly? Probably not an overreach to think so.
I’m guessing yeah it got in there by someone at some point but impossible to know for sure
