Carpet strip on 67 Barracuda console

Any advice on installing the console carpet strip in a 67 Barracuda 4-speed?

It is a PITA. At the 4-sp bulge it may need some careful trimming to lay flat. While some areas can be glued, larger areas can be attached with velcro. This will allow some flexibility and adjustment. After bolting down things will also adjust into place.

Make sure it’s an actual 4 spd hump haha. All kidding aside, mine was so close to the seat that you can never see the cuts I made. And not that I have tried it yet, but the backing is plastic and probably easier to mold with a little heat

Yes! as the gentleman above recommended to me, I used wide industrial velcro, which I could buy by the foot at my local ACE Hardware. Made it easy to install and when you need it out of the way you just pull it off and stick it back on when you are done.
