I have a 64 Dart wagon and I’m attempting to make nicer than it currently to sits. I have a few questions. Are 4 door and wagon the same carpet kits? Any recommendations on who to use for one? I’ve attempted to scour the forums but didn’t really get the answers.

Thanks,
Jake

Yup.
Matter of fact, ALL early As use the same carpets- 2dr, 4dr, wagon. Only difference is if it has the 4spd. hump or the plain floor.
Got mine from ACC (through Rock Auto).

I bought my 65 Dart’s carpet from Stock Interiors as recommended by SlantsixDan as.they were the least expensive by far! I picked out the color I wanted, for the make and model of vehicle and it came in an ACC box. This was during Covid so it took awhile to get it.

Early A carpet is all the same. About the only options are manual or 4 speed and color. Just to throw out an idea for the cargo area, I did a 64 Belvedere wagon years ago. I took all of the floor parts of the cargo area to the Rhino Liner guy here, and he sprayed it with a color to match the blue interior that was in the car. He just did the recessed areas, but built the thickness up slightly higher than the painted edges, so the painted parts would be less prone to scratches. It turned out really nice! If I put anything in the back, the lining prevented it from sliding around back there.

Thanks to everyone for the input and opinions on this. Very much appreciated.

On my wagon I made a pattern of the old, nasty plywood floor over the spare tire area. Now it has a new plywood floor. I used flat carpeting in the same color as up front. The only things I’be carrying back there will be chairs for me and the wife and a cooler

I took the cheap way out for the cargo area.
Went to the local home improvement store (Menard's) and bought an outdoor 6x8 area rug- basically a piece of non-backed indoor/outdoor carpeting- and cut it to fit the cargo area using a stencil I made from sheets of painter's masking paper. It's a real tight weave, so it cut cleanly and without any need to bind the edges. The color is an almost exact match to the ACC carpet in the rest of the car. I think the darn thing cost me $10-12 (and the usual 11% off!).
It serves it's purpose- keeps the back from getting too scratched up, and is easily removeable for cleaning out dog hair and tailgate party crumbs.

Mine was what I thought was cheap in 2001 - 2002 for the quality of work he did. He charged me $100 to do the tops of the 3 floor pieces. Granted....he gave me a discount because I worked with his ex wife. He said he felt sorry for me since I had to put up with her and he no longer had to!
